I'd it only eats purple people in much the same way Peter Peter Pumpkin eater only eats Pumpkins.

So you can sleep well Coledude unless you're a pumpkin that is.

it goes something like

if it is green then it eats purple people if its not green you may be in danger

perhaps it eats people with purple auras. is your aura purple?

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

i used to own a purple people eater and i can tell you with a degree of authority that they only eat litte red people, you're quite safe to go to sleep tonight man so no bad dreams, ok?
