Hello everyone.
My name is Emaerin. Erin for short.
I am a 16 year old female from Australia.
I don't have my own set of firepoi yet, as my father is still unsure as to wether or not its safe. So, I'm going to have to try to convince him and beg him
Also, im not sure what length I should buy.. Seeing as I'm a beginner, should I get short, medium or long?
Anyway, I love music. I am a singer in an Alternative rock band. I also play guitar, but only in my own time. I love webdesign and sewing too.

I'm not sure about your poi length though!
It's not a totally dangerous sport... just be safety conscious... no spinning near stupidly flammable things or when it's dry season or what not!

As for the length of your chains - what length poi have you been practising with? Use the length you are most comfortable with.

Why don't you start out with some practise poi first then? Then you can show your father that you can spin (after a while) and then he wont be so reluctant to let you get some fire poi?
Check out the HoP shop. It has some nice practise poi with tails and such.
