I just started lurking here last night, thanks to OrangeBobo, who turned me onto this site.
I saw some of her moves at a social gathering yesterday, and thought it was awesome- I've seen buskers doing this kind of thing for years, but never knew there were so many resources for self-teaching!
On a personal note, I've always enjoyed martial arts, especially sword and staff play, so poi and staff dancing seem like a natural extension of these things. I'm also hoping to become a Tower crane operator (just finished a training course), which is a job that requires dexterity, coordination, and upper body strength. Maybe this will be a fun way for me to get back into shape, lol.

I also love red, green, and blue..Gotta get me some of those LED glowstick poi- I wonder if you can change the batteries on those?
