The Beltane Fire Festival is held every year during the night of 30th April on Calton Hill in Edinburgh. An audience of around 15 thousand people come to share the two hour procession and wild after-events. Justifiably famous for its intensity and colour, the event has become a much-loved feature of the Edinburgh calendar since it was first organised in the mid 1980s.

so who's all gonna be there??

Finally, I know who why is!

Whoo, that was quite a night...

Whenever I close my eyes I get flashbacks to the middle of our performance and I see sheets of flame and soot flying towards me from a pillar of white fire. Yay!

I'm glad I spent a week telling the boys to only make a *small* fire sculpture biggrin

And now I can sleep easily without worrying about people wearing plastic costumes or making huge wobbly wire constructions that they're covering in flame and perching on their heads (or the police turning up when the flaming swords come out at inappropriate times wink ).

Definitely a peak experience in my life biggrin biggrin biggrin

But now I can go back to being safe and normal ubbangel

Kind of...

ubblol well I ain't joining the gav/andy twins hairstyle. hair cuts are out (unless it's just a split ends trim). I'll think of something - probably involving lots of copper wire (goes nicely with blue I reckon)
