They were not at light speed, they were in "hyperspace" (similar to warp speed in Star Trek). They also don't arrive instantaneously. Could be a space folding thing - I dunno.

Well think about it... it starts with four... grows two more... and then three after that... and I don't know of anything else that has that many legs but a nine leged swamp thing from outer space... can you??? Duh...

so are each set of legs longer then the last set? that would be funny looking. meybe you could walk on each differnet set of legs.... ok, ok, i'm thinking too much about nothing... i really, really, really don't want to do my homework!
