When your fingers are numb and blue with cold, your eyelids have frozen to your face and you're still out there grunting "must...figure...out...7 beat...weave.(gasp)..."

There is a slight possibility that I am not actually right all of the time.

Haha, yeah dreaming about poi and being uber good at it...
I had a nightmare when I was with my bf that poi had somehow gotten between us?!? and that it was sinister! It took me five minutes after I woke up to convince myself I was fine!!! (My nightmare's have been getting more frequent so just 'cause it was about poi doesn't worry me!)

I have many symptoms of addiction. I carry 4 different sets of poi and my poi book with me at all times, just incase.
I talk about poi all the time (usually to people who dont even know what I am jabbering on out about) and when I do my face lights up and I become animated at the thought of spin spin spinning. I will pick up anything and try to poi it.
Now when I go out clubbing I find that my arms start moving so that I am doing an invisible weave etc. to the music.
And if I dont poi all week, Man that puts me in a bad mood and my arms feel all tense like there is something that needs to be released.
Yes I admit it. My name is Wizz and I am a Poiaholic.

Poi... it's an obsession.

i work at a petrol station ubbloco and to change the price boards we use a large stick with a modified toilet plunger on the end so it can stick to the numbers and pull them off...this stick has been used on many an occasion as a 3 & 1/2 metre firestick... weavesmiley

i just wish i could carry my poi with me...i have cables instead of chain...and they really don't like being shoved in a bag...kinks in cable makes for ugly cables! and probably isn't very good for them...

i make it my duty to mention to most new people i meet that i spin confused , and then i explain to them what it is!

So true. I was actually on a cruise once and they were playing some really good music, but I didn't have my poi on me so I improvised and created....studded belt poi!^.^ Oh man, it's so hard to use, but a couple of crazies threw some pennies at me, until some crazy french sailor told me to stop it...

Addiction you say? Hmm... I don't think I'm addicted...I mean, after all, carrying around your poi and flags everywhere you go and practicing before class and/or during lunch is normal! Oh! And so is spending a minimum of 6 or 7 hours a day in the chatroom...Plenty of people do it! So, no...I'm not addicted...
