5 beat weave is a 4 beat weave on both sides. When you add a beat on one side for the 4 beat, then bring it over to the opposite side, the unwraping of the 4 beat adds a beat...Then if you continue with another 4 beat, it ends up a 5 beat. So if you can do 4 beats on both sides, you can do 5 beats.

Also, yes, it can be done in reverse but requires a bit of dodging.

Let's turn those old bridges we crossed into ashes.

haha i've been spinning for awhilow and can do everything on the free lessons section xept for ths 5 fucekn beat weaves and behind the back reverse weave and turn but i dont know.. their something bout the 5 beats that i dont find to be as grtaceful and sick looking cus u avhe to wait for it to unravel og and btw int he free lessons the guy doing a reverse 5 bt weave looks like he's doing a sideways butterfly and jsut passing it over to the other side am i crazy??
btw: its full of snow here also so m room is my spot or my basment but be ready to [censored] up yur cealing

5+ beats can look good and go well with certain other moves if done right. I love doing a 5 beat with a two beat in the middle (ie. while doing a 5 beat, when you go to bring your poi to the other side, keep your hands crossed and just do 2 beats then bring it back for 2 beats, then cross over again to unravel and continue the 5 beat.)

P.S. You should see the ceiling fan in my room. All the blades broke off as well as the light bulb and the glass ball covering it.

i have been spinning for quite awhile, i just don't have the patience for 5 beat weaves...plus it ruins my normal flow and i like to keep consistent...oh well
