Hey Gidg,

Myste sends hugs back. We went out for a friend's birthday last night. Had Emu pizza. Nothing great really.

I wanted to have croc, but no one would share it with me. frown

How are you liking your new place?

The new place is fantastic, though I'm finding that I'm doing a lot of stair arobics. I didn't realize how much I just popped into the office to do something quick on the computer. But it's OK, I'm just getting a bit more exercize. biggrin

Ummm, Gidg. No-dig gardens have been around forever.

Rather than dig up the soil and disturb the micro-organisms. You put down cardboard, blood and bones, than successive layers of leaves, grass clippings, manure, compost, etc. Covering the top with mulch.

Funny things you learn how to do when you're a permaculturist. tongue

you forgot to say you have to leave it a couple of weeks befor you plant stuff so the grass under neath dies and starts to rot and make lots of yummy plant food befor you put a hole in the ground to plant stuff in the hole

gidg
you still have to dig a little but what no dig means is you done have to do the back breaking work of turning soil and building gsarden beds you simple just haul lots of compost and mulch around in wheel barrows and stuff
lots of fun for every one

Hey Blair,

If you don't want to wait, you can use potting soil for where you are putting in your plants and such. That way you get a headstart. smile By the time the seedlings are coming up, the grass will be rotting and will contribute to the nutrition of the new plants.

How's life in Melbourne?

Hey Gnor,

Funny that you posted that pic. Paul and I were working on rapier, yesterday.

Paul mentioned that he got a call from Bill about getting together.

Can't have any chooks here. Will have to wait until we own our own place. frown

Gnor, it was more along the lines of lunge like an Italian. wink Working on Swetnam, so an english style of rapier to combat the Italian school. Still prefer my Silver, though. smile

Nope, we decided to continue on with the Feldenkrais teacher training in Chicago. Thought I told you. Perth is actually more expensive and won't recognize the training already done in North America. Even though its all part of the same international training, supposedly. rolleyes

Plus, I get to train with a couple world class coaches for my martial arts while I'm in Chicago.
