Hi guys. This is me. Im a very lonely sort of person because im a single mum. ie. my socialising, getting totally wrecked, being completely wild days are over. I have now come to terms with the fact that after 7.30 each night i am held hostage to a house but hey there is the wonderful world of www. to keep me company for the next 16 years!

Name: vicky
Age: 26
sex: female last time i looked
Location: Crawley England
Occupation: Im at sussex uni in Brighton. im not telling u what i study cos its totally boring.
Favourite toys: poi and just bought a staff, also my 3 cars, kayak and saxaphone
Favourite music: i havent found anything i really dont like yet but when im spinning anything loud and fast
Favourite film: probably sorted. I am up to date with all disney films for reasons of forced watching!

ummm what else. hey ask me something, anything. im am so honest it has caused me numerous problems but its the truth that counts.

so see you around guys. if your in my area stop by for a spin anytime.

As i said earlier, i work with loads of kids every week.
Its really interesting to see what kids are like that have been allowed to play and experience a lot more of the world, as oppose to those who are 'wrapped in cotton wool'.
When i was a kid (right little tomboy!), i was always covered in mud, and covered in cuts, bruises, bumps, etc (yes, and i still am!!!), from jumping out of trees, running through bushes, etc.
I think its such a shame when kids come to us and they're too scared to do very basic adventure stuff, as they have spent most of their life with a playstation and tv. These kids usually stand out a mile- quite often by their physical apearance, brought on by such a sedentary (have i spelt that right?) childhood.
I think more mums need to get kids away from these mind numbing activities, and back to running around outside.

Well done to both of you for introducing something like poi to your little ones. Let them live their life and experience things, and not be wrapped up in cotton wool. smile

yeah enough ramblings. over and out. wave

Nah, Joes house. i'm supposed to be moving in- by order of mr. sixsteps, but i don't know if its happening yet.
Go to events and gatherings, have a peak at the thread, and give Joe a shout.

oh, and i wouldn't advise the sofa!!! you'll end up being tossed around the living room, or having lap tops set up on you! (unless you like that sort of thing!)
I'd recomend one of the bedrooms. Crash in one with me if you like. I'm sure we'll sort it all out down there in good time. biggrin

oooooh, i'm jealous!!!!

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

Ok, the laptops thing- Frodo, UCOF and people all brought lots of laptops and various peices of gadgetry with them last time. The living room was over run with it all. Thay had all 4 laptops on, downloading music, poi vids, etc. eek We left them to it and went spinning in the garden. biggrin

Learning through pain is a saying of mine.
They get a reminder of the danger and I will watch out but they need to be out of the way themselves as well.

Kids need to learn body limits with trees and mud and sand. I am very protective of my kids but also love to see them up the trees and on the tramp and wrestling like puppies on tha lawn.

I stopped the eldest boy from playing rough and I think thats part of why he has trouble knowing limits of play. I let the others get much more physical now

Kids need space......but limits and supervision as well. We have a few kids drop in here and I always get them to call their folks so they know they are here. Its sad that the parents dont seem to care where they are as long as they are not at home.

I think the youngest too will do firestaff one day but at 3 and 5 it is a way off. Theyhave held the firestaff on fire though and loved it. ubblol

Happy spinning.. weavesmiley
