I am looking for a lightweight (kite like) fabric that a wick can be connected to an not be burned. I have tried some of the Kevlar companies and they have been less than helpful. If anyone knows of a such fabric or leads to such a fabric please hook me up.The flame won't really be touching it but it will be in close proximity. I am thinking hot air balloon material or parachute.

If that's the issue, call Aircraft Spruce (www.aircraftspruce.com). They sell kevlar sheets used in fiberglass layup, and in small quantities. It's a little heavier, and a looser weave, than the lightweight nylon used in kites, but should suffice.
