had another yearning. need to add wick, give it the ol smoke test. it spins ok/good, the staff isn't perfectly straight by any measure. it was hella fun to make in any case. peace

Posted: looks like it would be fun for many white bearded kung fu reenactments. Do you have any fire pixx for this yet? Have you thought about leaving a gap perhaps in the wicking on the blade?? Seems like it would be good effect, mebbe with a green polyester gi and green flame??

Posted: i've thought about a lot of things! right now i'm leaning towards wicking along one of the edges, not all the way around. it seems like the flame might obscure the outline anyways. multicolored would be coo. i'll probably debut it at a party next weekend. cotton wicking for right now. i'll update the thread when i get some fire pics. peace
