I am so very blessed...
Moved into my very own house the other weekend, and YAY! ooohhhhhhhh does it ever feel so good to have my OWN place again. To live with the blessed souls i WANT to live with, to have darling visitors from around the globe, to just be able to breathe knowing I am safe and HOME!
i had forgotten:
how easy it is to wander out of bed to the shower, without
having to put
clothes on
the strangeness of having a house taking on 'your' smell of
cooking or
incense or sweaty sneakers
the joy of having control of the tv
how much i hate sugar soaping before painting
that i dont need to ask anyones permission to have people stay
over
that the space i dwell in holds more possibilities than just
shelter
what it's like to have earth running through my fingers and the
satisfaction
of ripping out weeds
what its like to find a perfect nook for that odd shaped item or
vase
how nice it is to see my front gate when walking down the
street.
I am looking forward to:
having friends round for tea, and laughing and playing cards
till late
seeing my first tomato grow off plants I planted myself
working bee's to clean up, because I know my friends love me
enough to help
(i hope!)
having the painting finished, so the house is bright, cheerful
and welcoming
getting pet quails!
having a coat rack that my father made for me
being able to say to a friend, "oh, the teacups are in that
cupboard there,
just help yourself!"
having spare keys for friends who arent afraid to use them
having time and room and effort to do the craft things i've been
missing...
sorry for the length of the post, but i figured it was about time i did an update for y'all...

i got myself a job and they want me to work regularly every sunday! that means no poi with you!
and i couldnt say no cos i just declined saturday night cos im rowing in an 8 (if it was just me i could cancel, but with 9 other ppl - gotta include cox and coach - i can't miss it), and i declined being on call tonite cos im at a party in whoop-whoop!!! so i couldnt say "oh i have a committment every sunbday nite" cos ive only been working there since monday and ive been pissing them off enough with my novice use of the eftpos and cash-register! i would have changed ***** to phallus, and claire to petey Petey
