I have a set of mouse poi, they're short with pyramidal beanbag heads and triangular tails. Kids can use them, they're easier than longer poi but they are good for fast spinning and learning new moves, also very good for buzzsaws coz they're so short!
When i get home ill put a pic of them up (im at college and if i can figure out how...)

Mouse poi are probibly my favriot string/tails poi, cos they sof and dont have much drag to the tails, very good id say.

Not a brand name, a type... I've seen them in Oddballs in Camden, but not on the net....
When I go home I'll put up a sewing pattern, they're pretty easy. (see Beth's post for nice description)

They sell mouse poi online! These are the people i got mine from, tho i got mine from glastonbury so i dont know how good they are for deliveries etc.

Mouse poi are a brand name run by a guy brighton.
I have taught kids who bought these poi, they often get blisters on their little fingers from the nylon single loop straps. They are more trouble than they are worth in my opinion.
The weights not good, and i'm dubious about how they are produced.
I wouldn't encourage their use.
It's easier to make your own, experiment with different weights and lengths. Produce specialised poi for specific uses, let your imagination run wild.

i'm pretty sure there are no actual mice harmed in the production of the poi.
good point about the finger loops though.
i often wonder about kids and poi cos i use a key grip rather than any kind of handle or finger loop - teaching kids to spin this way tends to cause blisters too (i know it used to for me).
suede seems to be the way forward but i still prefer no loops at all so i just don't know.
and to keep this slightly on topic, i quite like mouse poi - they're pretty much the only poi with tails that i still spin occasionally.
