Actually, I made the circle. Most of the time, breakers get really pissy if someone jumps into the circle, but all of the clubs around here are too small to host an DJ like Oakenfold or Nick Warren. And they damn sure try! Some of them have kind of taken to me, because when the crowd closes in too tight, I bust up in the middle and back em all off. Not that I am hitting people, I almost never do (I am very space-concious) Just people like to see it and they will give me room to go off. Plus, no one really has to crowd in, because they don't have to look over someone else's shoulders to see the action. It's all at eye level. It has kind of turned into an "You scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours" kind of thing. So most of the places I go around here, I usually get mad props, instead of mean looks and people trying to push me out. And it is hard for them to be all that pissed when I get the 200-300 poeple who can see to roar with applause. And I'm not being a glory hog, either. These places are standing room only, and the only way to get *any* spot to spin is by working with the breakers. I have even opened up new circles at parties before, where people are packed shoulder to shoulder. The one in the pics is right after I opened up a huge one at on the dancefloor right below Keoki. Frodus, the guy who took the pictures, was actually standing very close to him. Thanks for the compliments! Look for some new ones coming out soon. FRODUS!!! You still going to Monk and Spacegirl??? And I might take some if I end up going to Las Vegas this weekend. I want fire pics in front of the MGM Grand! That would be phat! Wish me luck that my friends don't bail on me for this one, too. I already missed Ultra!

I forgot to take my camera to the Juggling convention. Therefore I missed the opportunity to get a photo of Orange spinning my large orange flags frown It was a most excellent sight!Anyway, on list of things to do is get photos and construction guides together for my flags. Maybe I'll get some photos tonight.

I would love to see a discussion on moves and technique similar to the staff and poi.I understand the moves are very similar to poi moves, but I keep getting the damn things tangled. Perhaps they are to big.I am a bellydancer and silk painter so I use alot of middle eastern veil moves and have made mine out of ...you quesed it...silk.I will get some photos together and online soon to share.SOoooo, I would love to hear about some of your favorite moves and combos. I would like to expand my range. If any one is interested in mid east veil technique to add to their repertoire, I will be more than happy to post it. You can do the most amazing things with two large 3yd-ers, drop them and move to flags. Not very practical in a crowded club situation, but if you have the space it is cool.------------------Dance is the symmetry of elegance in strength, control in passion, and precision in motion

Hi,I had my first play with some flags this weekend. They were made from cotton and weighted with curtain weights. There were no handles or swivels so the wrapped up on moves like the butterfly but I managed weaves and windmill turns with em. 5-beat was a bit too slow because of the drag I think either that or I was too tired from the parties :-PAnyway I will flag woody to get the pics posted soon smileLater,Mark P
