Hey y'all...
For anyone interested there is a new twirling group started up in Nottingham.
We no longer meet down speak easy on sundays but we still spin EVERY THURSDAY down the FOREST FIELDS recreation ground from about 8PM. (see end of thread for details)

Well I was thinking we might come this weekend
Looks like we've missed the boat for the next couple of weekends.
I was thinking I might just have to boycott playing badminton one Thursday and come up to see you guys. I don't think Spanner would be able to make it as someone needs to look after the littl'un... actually are you guys meeting up tomorrow?
What was Stu doing on the plane? Was he heading out to Boom aswell.

no cos boom was in portugal in august. i think stu was staying with some mates somewhere near Granada in spain....
an i'll be about tommorow but a lot of the others might be in falmouth...

Hang on, I've remembered why I couldn't come this Thursday.
I'm heading of to Longleat to meet my family (reason I won't be at Falmouth) so I'll be needing to get ready for that.

Should be.
If you head down to the Forest rec ground (Goose Fair site) for about 21:00 on a Thursday you should see something going on.
Other than that if you get in contact with "Tastes_Like_Purple" on here I know she is still involed with the gatherings.

'beekaboo!' here i am! yup fire meet is still going on - it's been a little patchy lately - bad weather and that but by the time exams and stuff are over they'll be lots of people going down
they're all really friendly and welcoming so Dashers you should definately come down - it'd be nice to meet you! good luck with your exams! and cheers amy

ok, so, i got fed up of FoF not having a website anymore, it kind of disappeared when most of the original spinners left nottingham or had other priorities (how dare they have lives!- look up for the main culprits
) Smit assures me another website is definately on it's way, but i'm not sure how long that will take 
ok so i went and made a wiki page cause i thought it'd be great if the regulars could put up their own profiles and pictures and videos, and add any events and and fun spinning related things... although so far i've just looked on the calendar on here to keep the events page up to date... but anyhoo, it's building up nicely although there are still some people i need to nag to get their profiles up *cough*smit*cough*.
the main point of the page is, not just to share nottingham spinning related news and such, but also, if anyone is in the neighbourhood and is thinking of coming down then they can give us a heads up and check out who's who.
now, i'm the poor 'don't have a job' type and can't afford my own domain and i'm also not a web designer, so excuse the simple nature of the site. but it does the job so it'll do! for now...
oh and btw, now it's summer the meet is back to full strength and we got some newbies this summer too

Ok, possibly short notice, but I am visitng Nottingham this Saturday (22 sept 07) to visit the lovely SNOOPoi and her iccle baby and would love to be able to meet a few others, catch up with a few people whilst I am down.
I arrive mid-day (trains working well) and leave around 7.30pm (although that could be subject to change if people convinve me enough) and have nothing planned for the day besides hanging out with Snoo.

well i suggest a nice spin on the arboretum and get all the nottingham spinners available to come along and have a fantastic chilled out afternoon

to everyone I met who helped make my weekend such an enjoyable time. Now I know what to expect I will do things much better next time.

normal time is normal time as usual - bout 9ish. it'll be fantastic to have our jesus back, even if it is only for the one fire night! oh but hold on, that's goose fair weekend, so the graveyard instead? unless smit or jo turn up only me and dimitri know about the graveyard but we'll try and make sure we're all there instead of the forest. i'll pm you my number cause i can't remember if i changed it or not since the last time you text me/i text you, so we can all find each other
