don't know about using molten steel but wrapping long sparkelers always did the trick for me
doesnt last long but it puts off one fuk ing kickass show

i found that bending sparklers to make a loop on the metal part, to attatch string, works just fine, and gives a pretty good show, but i bet there are other ways to accomplish the sparking affect to make it last longer, but the sparklers are good for beginners
