Hey Everyone,
Blasting you from out of the Vulcan in beautiful Oakland, CA. I just started teaching at the San Francisco Circus Center. I would appreciate it if you would let your friends, or anyone interested in learning to spin fire know about these classes. The classes are on Sundays from 12:00 to 4:00pm
Here is the schedule and class description:
Sunday 12:00 - 1:00 pm
Fire Spinning: Beginning Poi
Derived from the ancient Maori folk dance, modern poi has evolved into a graceful and complex art form that consists of tracing beautiful patterns through the air and around your body. In this class, you will study the fundamental elements of modern Poi spinning including Timing and Direction, and Planes. Areas of techniques covered include Weaves, Butterflys, Flowers, Reels, Isolation, Stalls and more.
Sunday 1:00 - 2:00 pm
Fire Spinning: Advanced Poi
Building off of the foundation taught in Beginning Poi, this course teaches advanced poi techniques, including Antispin, Hybrids, Cateyes, Inversions, Tangles and more.
Sunday 2:00 - 3:00
Fire Spinning: Beginning Staff
Staff spinning is the art of skillfully manipulating a staff around the body. In this class, you will learn basic spinning techniques, as well as fundamentals of Contact Staff that will begin to allow you to roll, wrap, and spin the staff on and around your body.
Sunday 3:00 - 4:00
Fire Spinning: Advanced Staff
This class focuses on connecting the contact staff fundamentals, taught in Beginning Staff, into more advanced maneuvers including Angel Rolls, the Jesus, Halo 360s, the Matrix and more.
Private instruction available for Advanced students trying to learn advanced variations, including Substitution Matrix, Head roll variations, Cateye Flowers, Advanced Hybrids and more.
Classes are $15, and are available on a Drop in basis, or by registering for a session.

Profile: Tankboy has been spinning fire since 2005. He has taught across the country from Massachusetts to Maui. Specializing in contact staff and technical poi, he has made a name for himself with his innovations and prowess.
He has taught at three of the most renowned fire festivals in the country, Firedrums, Wildfire, and Pacific Fire, and has performed with the Vulcan Crew and along side some of the biggest names in the Firespinning Community.
