I so want dreadlocks! I know I keep moaning I want them but seeing as scott says they'd look stupid, he keeps saying no to them.

I have these options.
1- do as he says

2- tell him i'll give up smoking to have them - no questions asked. (he HATES me smoking!)

3 - get them anyway and have him put me down all the time, probably eventually finishing with me and breaking up the family.

4 - just get them and leave anyway!

yah, if you want to do dreads do dreads. I don't support everything my friends do to their hair (you should see piccy's ubblol) but like I tell them theyd better do it and stop just whining about it or they'll regret it...

I had the ultimate fight with the bf yday via text.

I texted my suggestion while he was at work about me giving up smoking for him so I can have dreads.

He txted back saying if i did so it would be the last straw for him.

I asked him what he meant

he said he'd disown me if i did, and so would his family, also that I'd never get a job with dreads.

I told him my job prospects aren't great anyway - it would either be tesco's or pub work. I also said that my image shouldn't be an issue if he truly loved me, and if he did, he would want me to do things that make me happy -

-followed shortly that I think he is so up himself that it pisses me off!

He told me - "f**k you you ungrateful [censored]" he also said something else which i cannot remember as i was in tears by this time. oh and he said, for me to do what i want and so will he.

I told him that was a new low for him to call me that - and I dragged up passed conflicts that still hurt and that i hated him for

he then said that he would go flat hunting - i can stay here in the flat and he'd still pay the rent. and that i got what i wanted by pushing him over the edge.

I never replied back, but asked my big sis to pick me and the kids up tuesday. she cant tues but can wednesday.

When bf came home, he did not say one word to me, hasn't spoken to me since leaving for work yesterday morning.

If i can hold my ground and not back down, i'll be free of him, but my will power is very low at the moment and i'll probably stay after all.

So all in all I had a really sh*t day yesterday. aint eaten either.

Everything's F*cked up!!!!

Tink, i've never really spoken to you or Marie but i've sort of got the picture by reading around and picking bits up. So sorry if i overstep the mark but....

....I have two things in my life that i am so proud of:

1. moving out of home and coping i.e. not going back to my parents which both my other siblings have done.

2. splitting up with my ex. It was painful, scary, horrendous, emotional but so so worth it.

For what i gather you and the children would be better off without him and i have my sister as proof that you can do it. She's a single mum of a 9 year old, 3 year old and a 6 month old.

It takes time to heal and you'll want to go back but you have to remeber that you're better off with out him. I should think you've made enough friends on this site to help you out if you do leave.

Be strong and do what is best for you. No man should stand in the way of you getting dreads for [censored] sakes. Come to Falmouth, take some time out, re-assess what you want and do it.

Good Luck!

hug

Gayle.....!

I HATE to burst your bubble Tammie but if Natalie comes to pick you up on Wed, that means her and mammy can't come to get Dominic Wed like we have been planning since the Fal dates were announced. If you really wan't out then I guess I will have to suck it up and have Mynci video a birhday message from everyone for me.

I bet You wish you could, though, right? wink

Hmm...

Tink: I totally agree with UCoF. He does sound like a bit of a twat. Sorry. Stand your ground, I say. Come to Falmouth, and gets lots of hugs and stuff from lots of HoPpers. smile Also, agreeing with Gayle here, Falmouth is great for de stressing, and sorting things out. Just think of all the fun you can have!! hug

Marie: I'm sure something can be sorted out with regards to arrangements for Dominic...

I totally agree with ucof and ltc.

he sounds like a complete censored and you'll be soo much better off without him, he needs you far more than you need him. you'll be far better off without him, and like everyones said falmouth THE best way to calm down, chill out and feel better about yourself and be happy. i'm sorry that your feeling so bad now but if you stick through this you'll be in a much better place in the end

It's a lot simpler to just stay. She's been on here longer then me so deserves to be at Fal more. I will just have to make sure I can attend Play.

Simple, maybe... But not half as fun!! You both 'deserve' to be at Fal as much as each other!! Is it not possible to bring Dominic too? Surely Lee must know someone who'll be willing to help out...

Besides. I NEED to meet you, even if it's only to get a hug off of one extra person... smile ubblol
