These are the poi I'm talking about:

I would definitely not buy from Poi Poi, those cords look really suckish.

I don't know, I make or customize most of my gear, so my take is buy it for the kind of head you want, but be prepared to make adjustments to anything else. Maybe grab some Colecord just so you know you have a decent cord on hand if the default sucks.

i did a lot of my early spinning and learning with those on chains, not a bad set of poi but if your buying a set of glowpoi i would recommend crystalpoi flowtoys, a bit more expensive for starting out but in the long run they will save you money, you can use rechargeable batteries, they never break and they look AWESOME.

if you get the flowtoys get the crystal cases with flowmass. you can practice with just the cases on the end of your chains so you dont risk damaging them and theyre only 37g more with the flowlights in. thats what i do anyway

^agree with using flowmass but i wouldn't worry too much about practising with the lights taken out, i've been using flowtoys for years and provided you ain't purposefully smashing the hell out of them they are pretty much indestructible, got a huge collection of flowtoys but even the 1st set of lights i got are still in perfect condition, quality stuff

I cant stand poi on cords D: only my fire poi are like that. Kinda sucks cuz nothing is a bright and buying batteries sucks.
Either way I wouldn't suggest the poi mentioned in this thread. At least with the cords. Maybe buy the head by itself and make your own cords like the others have mentioned. Best of luck

Someone mentioned a way to get orbitals working somewhere in Technical Discussion (I think by using rollerblade wheel bearings?), but by default you can't really do orbitals. Hyperloops are still fine.
