What is the wing speed of an unladen swallow?.. African or european?
toys: Legos, playdough...not what you're looking for?
Hobbies other than the obvious: Skydiving, motorcycles
Education: in college
Plans for life in general: (i.e. what you want to do when you grow up) - Who wants to grow up?
Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella?* Nutella...
~ My boyfriend bought me Poi for christmas after I fell in love watching a women do it last year. I'm a skydiver and this is by far the most fun I've had in a while! Looking forward to learning, progressing and hopefully stop hitting my self! Hope to meet you all!!

Welcome! Don't use the squirrels as poi, they don't like it. And I'm pretty new, all I can wish is that you learn as quick as I have, as I seem to be knocking down everything in my path, except for things with isolations are taking me a while. If you want to know what to learn early on, there's a great post in either the help or beginner moves section about exactly that. Where me and some other guy pretty much listed damn near everything that is good to learn
When they say toys I'm pretty sure they mean skill toys (poi, staff, ect.)
I myself fell in love with poi, I went to Germany this summer and my exchange student did fire poi and firebreathing for us. He also had fire fans, but I never got to see it
Also, I would suggest looking at Nick Woolsey's Beginner Series on PlayPoi.com
I recently did my first burn and I can tell you, it is a great thing and I hope you learn enough first to really have fun with it

Hope you progress well with poi. Practice makes perfect and Detroit's right, Nick's videos are helpful if your looking for tips. The majority of people here are crazy. Enjoy meeting people and have a hot time!

If it wasnt for the wind, fire poi while sky diving would be awesome lol. Sorta new too. All i can say is the library here at HoP is awesome. follow them and you will progress fast!

well yeah if you plan on dying that way its a cool way to die. But if your just spinning fire and expect to land safely and your parachute becomes melted flaming goo, then I'd be kind of bummed.
