Heya,
Does anyone have any news about Play festival this year? I've heard great things about it but cant find any info about it for 2009?

I know they are searching for a site/trying to confirm a site. This is the place/forum to look out for a PLAY anouncment.
And yes this is a must go to event and should be part of every spinners summer calander :-)

Yeah the whole site thing...it's kinda our problem every year, even when we think it's sorted/confirmed months and months in advance
This years PL4Y will happen, the BJC move from April to August was a big blow, made worse as it was just after our beautiful new site turned coat and cancelled us...double whammy! So we then had the challenge of finding a new site and fitting it into a much changed jugg con calendar.
Moving on....we've hopefully got a site/date to announce shortly. Everyone in our database will be emailed the instant it's all sorted and forums populated with info....once there is something to say
Keep your fingers crossed for us please!
It's almost guaranteed not to be end of July/early August cuz of the clash with BJC
Also will be likely to be a much smaller event this year (until we get our slot back next year!) so possibility of a PL4Y.1 and PL4Y.2 but we'll see on that one Oh and the other guaranteed thing, no matter how many people ask I'm not calling it 4play

sadly we've had a horrible, horrible time with venues, as well as many other things conspiring against us (such as BJC relocating to the weekend we were planning for, and were days away from announcing...). So an actual PLAY is not going to happen this year. but there is a small possibility of a PLAY party - proper details will out as and when, as well as (we hope) a CONFIRMED location and date for next years return of PLAY proper.

Rob - I had heard that from Dunc but thought I'd leave it to one of you guys to make an 'official' statement.
If there's a Play party I'll definitely be there. Especially after not making it down for Southern Lights.
Mike - If you want to organise 'a little get together' let me know. I'll be happy to help if I can.
It might be time for us to finally get our act together and organise an equivalent to PiP in Manchester. There may be a bit of movement on this but I cant confirm anything yet. Hopefully some details will follow soon :-)

... Well i know a site i could get hold of but when would people want a gathering ie what weekend etc. Secondly how many poele would want to come.
I will start somthing bit short notice sure we can all pull together though.
