Hey! Pali here. I don't post much, so most of you probably haven't even noticed that apparently it takes me five years to post an intro thread.

I'm a graduate student studying literature, interested in semiotics, literary theory, and the state of humanity in general.

I owe a great debt to hop -- the only spinners here in Indy for the longest time were me and the girl (Molly!) who taught me the butterfly, weave, windmill, and corkscrew. You can imagine my delight at finding an online repository of poi-related knowledge. So thank you, Malcolm and the rest of the crew for doing what you do.

Others to whom I owe thanks and love for poi knowings include the instructors from Firedrums in 2008 (especially Arashi, Jordan, Zan, and Yuta), Greg and Noel from the Vulcan Crew, and Nick.

I have good intentions but am pretty intellectual so sometimes come across as snarky. I apologize in advance.

Because I have not experienced the other two, I shall have to join the ranks of nutella.

Yay Kael! hug Knowing you're going to work on wf footage makes me super happy! biggrin I know you got some cool shots and can't wait to see it all put together! clap

I'm in Indy for the moment... but leave for Omaha on 7/31 to teach a workshop and do a show. I'll only be there for a couple days, then back to Indy only to turn around and leave again for Halifax. Nick asked me to be his little assistant for the busker festival bounce2 bounce2 bounce2

I haven't read this book but will put it on my (very long) reading list!

I'll see your vids when you post them! (love the subscription features on youtube!)
