Location: melb till xmas 07, then portsmouth uk
Hello people, im a newbie. Started about a year ago. Struggled to learn new tricks from internet. Then i found a group in Brisbane to join in with. Learnt more in 1 night, being 'shown' than i did in the previous year. Moving to Melbourne 29th June, and hoping to meet with other poi/fire enthusiasts. To continue my learning, and hopefully meet some friendly folk.

Id been struggling with tricks for years, i attended a local group recently, and what learnt more in one night, being shown by others, than id tried alone at home, for months! lol

There is a thread for the Sunday Melbourne Meets, however it's full of us being idiots, and it will take you ages to sort through it finding anything useful!
It's Sundays at about 6:30 under the bridge at Southbank which is in the city and just accross the river from Flinders St. Station.
We are all a range of abilities and are a most friendly bunch

Tis awfully important as there are all sorts of things you can tell about someone from whether they're a nutella, vegemite or marmite person.

Welcome to HoP! Do come down to the Wednesday & Sunday meets at Edinborough & Southbank respectively. Sounds like you might be in Melb long enough for the fabled St Kilda Night Markets
