Hello! I'm a member of SURCAS (Sydney uni recreational and clowning around society). We all used to go down and twirl at Glebe firetwirlers on a Thursday night. Alas it has died out a lot lately, and we have decided to start meeting up regularly to twirl relatively close to there but in a much more accessable area. We meet every Sunday night at Victoria Park, this is that huge park right next to Sydney uni and across the road from Broadway shopping Centre. We meet at 8.30pm for now since it doesnt get dark until quite late, and everyone is welcome to come and join in or have a look

which of the old hands are still around? henry? rollo? tom?
i finished uni a couple of years back - but popped along to one of your fire-nights (at sunken lawn) semester 1 last year. Tis a shame to hear Glebe's dying out - although im not too surprised really - i was a regular before i moved to brissy in july and back then the numbers were getting quite low.
anyway good luck getting a new meet set up - hey what website are you guys using now? are the details in [Old link] still correct? and precisely where in the park do you spin? ill keep you in mind when im visiting Sydney.

They rock up when needed for performances or when there's food about but other than that it's mostly new people.
