How to make the web better for you,
If you haven't already, stop using Internet Explore and get Firefox

Firefox it's a dream, and while Internet Explorer 7 is the best of the IE it is basically just a poor copy Firefox, and desperately trying to catch up.
For me, the main reason Firefox is good is the extension, with Firefox add-ons you can make this program and the internet look and behave how you want to.
Hate all these adverts? I don't I haven't seen more than 10 in a year with Addblock plus.
I Can't read French very well but want to follow the poi discussion on Jongle.net - use foxlingo.

Google how it was back when it used to be useful for finding things on the web rather than for viewing adverts

The 3rd one down looks like a cow that is part of the cow parade. I saw loads in Prague 2 years ago. I guess about 200 cows blank fibreglass were given to local artists to paint in anyway they saw fit. Then they were put around the city in random places for the summer. It was really fun seeing what people had done!

I like opera more. It looks more elegant and has heaps of options, eg customisable keybindings. The built in ad blocking isn't that great, so I use another program called Ad Muncher which gets rid of EVERYTHING.

The computers in uni are still using IE6. I am tempted to see if I could download and run FF2 instead. No search box and no tabs! Sucks so much its unbelievable!
And why is IE7 still using the old XP super bright "fisher-price pre-school learning set" colour-scheme? I thought MS would want to tone it down to match the new Aero style?

When you hit the Stumble button, it takes you randomly to a highly rated website related to something you're interested in. i just installed firefox onto my new computer...after hitting "yes i bloody well allow that action because i frigging started it you stupid operating system!" a few times (can you tell i'm on vista?? )
so i started up mozilla...hop as my homepage...& hop seems to have developed the shakes!?
no wait...i just opened a new tab with another website...still with the shakes!! it seems to be okay once i log in though...
could it have something to do with something i deleted? it seemed to start right after i hit delete on the thing under the back button...i think it said get started or welcome to firefox or something...
short of deleting & reinstalling - any ideas!?

i'm going to reinstall...tomorrow...it's getting a bit late now & i have been transferring data from my old computer to the new one...the hard way (i.e. load up my tiny lil flash drive thingy & swap stuff over... )...it's taking forever!

It boots olderversions of photoshop, but no one recommends that you seriously try to run it. (i think)
No news of good support for others - indesign and illustrator.
and anyway, the software that ties me to windows is solidworks 3D CAD software...
But hang on, I've got all the windows DLL's on this machine (xp dual boot)

shame - it's so annoying when there is just 1 or 2 things keeping xp on your computer. For me it was IE for testing web site but I'm about to go over to some virtual computer system with images of windows, so I save the reboot at least.

right! so i uninstalled it...found the site again...reinstalled it...
it came back! stupid shakes! it's inside the browser - not the whole screen. & those buttons i deleted yesterday were still gone! 
*sigh* i think it's a microsoft conspiracy. they don't want any non-microsoft programs on my computer!!

It give's you previews of website links that you mouse is hovering over.
It seems like it's gonna ferl like the difference between tabbed browsing compared with the older windows style. Do ya get ne?
