Hiya,

I'm Dougie, I live near Glasgow and I was wondering if there was anyone on here from Scotland who knew of any clubs or practice locations?

I'm 26, male, and new to poi's though have fallen in love with them and staff. I currently have 4 sets of pois and 1 fire staff (as yet unused) I have the dvd's but dont get the time to practice that i'd like!

Hope you are all well and looking forward to meeting some new people on here biggrin

Hey Mr. Dougie!!

There's a "events performances and gatherings" section in the main index of the forum, where you should find threads on spinning in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness! There's actually a lot of us here so you should find people pretty easily smile

Welcome to HoP by the way hug

If you want to tell us some more about yourself, there's a template in the intro section for things we all need to know, like if you like Nutella or not! bounce

I'm from just outside Glasgow myself, Dougie. I started off at East KIlbride juggling club which is now history because the Arts Centre kicked us out for reasons unknown. Now I go to the Glasgow club in the West end, just off Queen Margaret Drive. I don't do poi myself, although quite a few of the other regulars do. Sometimes fire poi and torches are used in a little grassy area at the side of the building - a great sight to see. The club takes place every Wednesday evening.

Hey folks!!

Sorry for being so rude but I totally forgot there was a forum and I lost my password!! ooops!

I have lit and used my firestaff and I am pleased with the results! Still a complete novice though!
I do not get enough time to try out poi propoerly but I have seen the Glasgow Club.

I am also considering dropping into the Glasgow gathering this month and next for their poi / skills events!
