ummm... about 4 months for me, phixx... started with staff, was quite enjoying and *just* got myself a contact staff, when I tried poi for the 1st time...
have been poi'ing now for about 4-5 weeks, I think and don't touch the staff anymore... hooked on poi... learning to juggle is also a work in progress...
the what? friend told me about moonfest, a monthly fire gathering up here in brissie every full moon. went to my 1st one over the easter weekend and fell for it straight away...

havent picked them up for a while . ive only been back in NZ for 9 months and now that im settled ive got them out again
Want to get a staff . find its a great form of exercise and really quite meditative .

Your right about the meditation . For me , there are times Im not even there , specially if the sounds are right
Pogo.... mates not a spinner but he is a great mate . He's been there for 5 years , Ive been in the UK for the last 5 and he's planning on being back in NZ befor summer.Its going to be great to be able to hang out with him again
Whats with all the Spinners in Brissie ? . Wouldnt mind comming over befor Alby comes back but the funds are a bit tight for the next couple of months

There's usually plenty of hopper house's to crash at too. I am just currently moving house with one other fire-friend, and we'll definately have spare room for extra hoppers. I'm endeavouring to find a fire performance friendly back yard too
I have been poiing only for around 41/2ish months, and was just given some staff doubles so have to learn those now. I've noticed once you start learning one fire toy, its easier to learn others because you tend to use your body and arms the same way.

I heard about that porn start thing on the radio I think. The funniest part was there was ment to be some kind of other political protest scheduled to use some of the same route as the boobs on bikes thing. Did you go down to watch Heath? I would have.
