Hey purdy lady, what's the weather like in A'dam? I'm on holiday for two weeks, but the weather is kinda like well...erm... ever taken a cold shower? Well multiply that by 1.000 and you'll know what weather we are havin'... frown

Hey hun,

well, I guess the weather here is about the same as in Belgium. But the city is lovely anyway and we've got enough indoor sports facilities. One of my climing partners came back from holidays a bit earlier than expected, so now my Sundays are saved: it's just great to hang around (literally biggrin) at the climbing hall all day ... cheap food, yummy half-naked guys ... I guess it was a women that invented climing biggrin

If you wanna drop by, feel free to do so. My place is extremely small (just a single crammed room) so you probably won't want to stay longer than a night or 2. And usually weekends are better than weekdays

I'm still deciding on London, Amsterdam or Utrecht (since I studied there for some months)

Or a combination. Utrecht ain't too far from A'dam and A'dam is kind of on the way to London

hm ... in those good old days when I was still young and wild *sigh* I was on an Interrail tour and I went from Monaco to Paris to Amsterdam via Belgium, further on to London and then to Ireland. O.k., if you wanna fly then the route might look a bit different. But hey, you've got two weeks. So that's even enough time for some hitch-hiking (after all the journey is the reward, right?)

maybe you're doing "young things"?

My job is to do research on the situation of elderly people, meaning diseases, isolation, loneliness, palliative care, euthanasia ...
I guess this might have an impact on my perspective on life

I agree, in science it's okay to have a certain fascination for weird, icky things or sicknesses wink

@Freya: actually this is a brilliant idea. I could try to tell myself that I am 50 now, and the I start telling myself again that I am 29, so I will feel extreeeemely young then ... wait: yeah! It works!!!!!! bounce bounce2 bounce bounce

I've taken a "what's your real "biological" age" test on the interweb recently. It made me nearly 10 years younger. But then this is always risky, especially when you smoke or something, it might work out the wrong way!
