Hi all... I am a complete newbie to poi, fire twirling and anything/everything related. In fact, I'll only even see it in real life for the 1st time next Friday (making it down to the Moon Fest on north side of Brissie).

Anyway, this is me...

Name: Pat... but Pogo to those that know me well.

Location: Logan City, south of Brisbane, QLD, Oz.

Hometown: As above.

DOB: 17/09/1969

Age: 36 and counting...

Sex: Wouldn't that be nice?

Occupation(s): Computer Programmer. Worked for myself from home for 2 1/2 years, but have recently had to get a "real" job.

Favorite Food(s): Hmmm... pretty much anything, really.

Favorite Color(s): Green

Toys: Acoustic guitar, Classical guitar, 3 electric guitars, 2 djembes.

Hobbies other than the obvious: Music, Reading, Keeping fit (hmmm, not so much of the keeping fit, actually)

Education: Did Bachelor of Science majoring in Computer Science and Pure Maths. Then Grad Dip Appl Computing... then started a research masters, but gave it away when life got in the way.

Favorite Book(s): Have to get back to you on that one... The Anarchist was the last book I read, quite liked it.

Favorite Movie(s): Lots... Fight Club, Snatch, Lock Stock..., Finding Nemo, Pulp Fiction, Pay It Forward...

Favorite TV show(s): Don't watch tv.

Plans for life in general: (i.e. what you want to do when you grow up) I really... wish... I knew.

Favorite Music Artists/Composers: Lately... Xavier Rudd, Jack Johnson, JBT, Blue King Brown, Donavon Frankeneiter, Rob Sawyer, The Waifs... blues/roots stuff.

Favorie ice cream flavor(s): Vanilla.

Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella? (please choose one...this is important as it is essentially this site's equivalent of stating your religion...we have religious wars, crusades, cathedrals to Nutella, all that.)

Definitely... vegemite.

wikkid... so, all we need to do, is:

1. carefully remove the coloured sugar coating
2. scrape away enough chocolate to get to the peanut
3. remove the peanut
4. grind it up in a mortar and pestle till it's the consistency of butter
5. pipe the "peanut butter" back inside the chocolate
6. mould the chocolate back in place
7. repair the sugar shell

...child's play... literally...

Yep...and before the peanut butter M&M's, there were Reeses Pieces...which I know you don't have, but might, in the near future, since I've heard that they've finally decided to send the Reeses Peanut Butter Cups your way...I could just about eat a whole bag full of the mini ones, all by myself...

Haha!! WE have Reeses pieces... but they're not as good as Peanut Butter M&M's - which we DON't have (except in "care packages" from caring souls wink )

Yes Super Gidg, I guess. It probably doesn't need to be a busy job, but when there's only you and your boss doing it and lots of customers asking for things well one kinda feels responsible to make them happy - which takes up lots of time.

Dragons don't understand about responsibility, hence the flip comments grin

Yerrr, I noticed - in OZ women are the things that get tied to the kitchen sink and sheep are the things that get shut in the bedroom.

not unless it's a robot sheep - it is white but not so soft and cuddly as a sheep.

*wonders if mentioning cuddly in relation to sheep could be too provocative a mental image for the Ozz-trar-lee-anns*

A waterproof robot sheep, I'd hope.

It conjures up rather concerning mental images. We worry about our animal-loving cousins on the east island.
