Here it is folks, you've been incredibly patient, and let's be honest, you knew we wouldn't let you down.

Fal5 will not be taking place in Falmouth, instead the ever resourceful Ms Maus has secured us a sweeet spot to stay. It's a little further west, but be sure it's worth the tiny bit of extra effort.

The dates are Friday 14th April - Monday (Tuesday) 17th (18th) April.

We will be staying here and that means we will be spending a lot of time on this beach.

Campsite checks in at the bargain price of £4 per person per night, and they have the usual shower/toilet blocks.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO TELEPHONE THE CAMPSITE TO BOOK

The Wiki list (so's we know who's coming) is here

Nearest town and train station is Hayle so make sure not to go to my house by mistake, as I won't be there. biggrin

Any questions?

Just awaiting the word of a few people now...

I think Matty B sounds like the most viable option. Train not as much of a problem as I thought...

FAO ALL PEOPLE DRIVING DOWN!!

(cornish folk correct me if im wrong)

There is currently about 8 miles of roadworks just passed bodmin where they are continuing the dual carrageway works...

This is going to be one hell of a que on easter weekend so i would suggest taking the atlantic highway road.

IE

Just after Launceston get on the A30 onto the A395 going north (ish) to the A39

Then follow that road to south cornwall and gwythian smile

Just though it was worth posting as alot of you will be driving for hours anyway and there is nothing worse that getting stuck when you are sooooo close.

Eveyone heads west during easter - but most of them take the A30 all the way smile

See youz sooons!

***IMPORTANT...PLEASE READ***

Firstly thanks for that Strugz, have been keeping my eye on it and will keep you posted of any change!

biggrinI have added another section to the attendees part of the Wiki-list for people wishing to stay at the Campsite until they leave for BJC.

biggrinIf you are staying for BJC, please please please let me know on the list as I am trying to sort it out so that I can get somewhere free to stay for as many of you as possible.

biggrinI have a couple of spaces free in my caravan, and anyone who wants to is more than welcome to camp on the land next to it for a couple of days if they don't want to pay for the extra camping.

biggrinI live literally 5mins drive up the road from Gwithian, and i have a sneakingsuspicion that there will be a party of some variety on mid week as its someones birthday...

...Well i figured we may as well make a week of it!

biggrin Nothing apart from that apart from put your names on the wiki-list!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Strugz is right, take the exit on the A30 called Kennards House. if you dont, then you will be stuck in a cue for hours and hours, bodmin is awful normally for traffic but when there are roadworks and easter weekend, you want to avoid it like the plague.

When you get onto the A39, go towards Wadebridge, i.e. turn left at the A395/A39 junction. Carry on that road and follow signs to Truro/falmouth. If anyone needs more detailed directions, pm me!

Aim high and you'll know your limits, aim low and you'll never know how high you could have climbed.

Well you dont avoid the whole A30 passed bodmin........ the A39 will eventually join back up to A30 (passed all the que!) hopefully smile

maus, is there space for me to park ma van up mid week by your caravan? I think I'll have Jo and sym with me as well, im assuming they have a tent . . . and if there is a party, I wouldn't want to miss that biggrin wink

Matty b, I'll be driving from swindon on either thursday afternoon or fri morning, im assuming you'd go down the m5 so we could meet at the services just after bristol and convoy from there. Also, a friend of mine may need a lift back as i am staying for the week . . . have you still got space?
