More seriously, Arashi, that is a fabulous video. I think the performance aspects were better than the first, but I loved the colour and the music of the teaser most. The second is cooler, colder, more contained in style, which may have been your intent... So I just have to watch both! Both are brilliant.

MY WORK HERE IS DONE
final fantasy 7? is that what that means?
actually i am not too happy with most of my arm work OR body waves in this one, the belly dancing isn't my best that's for sure, i felt a bit stiff and quirky that day i suppose, that stuff is usu. my specialty. the arm sequence in the beginning especially, and most of the body undulations all over... i like the body wave at the start, but my arms get a bit awkward for a moment, and then the effect kicks in and you can't really see the part where i get fluid again. oh well. we actually got some good footage from our show last night and hope to get some of it uploaded soon, i'll put some proper bellydancing stuff in it with some undulations. plus Sage TORE IT UP last night, i'm sure people wanna see some of that.

Anyway... the wave down the body is nice, but I would suggest to work on the arm waves a bit more.

i've only watched them once each but i think i prefered the second one for impact and watchability. love the effects on the sword and like guy says you seem to be much more in the flow and relaxed. would like to see an uncomprseed version cos it must look even better!

I'll get around to it eventually... I watched a piece of the |s| dvd.. and it made me happy because of how the editing was done with the music.. so, I'll go back and watch yours again later.. I take it the music is why there's a long bit of black at the end..

dantana had a few... then itchel put up a few (crappy cam but really nice shot).. then a few other people posted some, not to mention the ones that are in longer vids, and not just butterfly tangle specific..
what we would help people if your up for making shorter tut-type clips..
many of the atomic positions.. (there really the same as ours, but I know I for one started with them at 90 to learn to be comfortable with the structure before tilting it to 45.. Whihc I think many others have done as well)
dragon's toungue 'whatever' (since I have no idea what that means)
cateye weaves would be nice (since they've only be mentioned in passing)
Any of the inverted stuff you think mine didnt handle well.. I'm going to be making a butterfly set to match the same direction set I have, but I don't know how filled out it will be.. I mean, some bf inversions are superslick (the ones that exit same side), the ones that exit cross side are just... UGH..
those are just my thoughts though on things I think the community could use 'seeing' if your up for making some helpful side bits between now and your next video project..

got to see the vid, and it was in a format I could watch! coo!
i really liked it, the track was ace and the sword stuff especially floated my boat, cos it was so floaty, looked alive, as it should.
In fact i vas more visually entranced by the sword, there were a couple of nice poi moves, the one at about 1:30 was my fav, and the linking back to iso with splits was good.

actually this vid has inspired me as a kinda benchmark. its a lot like what i been thinking about, a good track, lighting and costume. The one I madde the other day was gash, just a spinning fire in the park vid, might cut it up for tutorials, the one i wanna make will be more like this, only better
