world traveller in summer years, artist, munky, rebel, embodying life's extremes of water - fire - air - earth - space, a spiritual being having a (very) human experience, juggling probs and projects, solving life's equation - for just those 2 cubic-metres of sensual experience, striving for the same destiny as you - merely on a different road... hug

Got initiated to firedancing in Byron '96, firestaff... didn't touch Poi for 3 years after hitting my balls with heavy firepoi, dared another try in 1999 and proceeded, got my kix in Koh Pha'Ngan 2002, then started a professional career shows in Germany, Brazil, India, held workshops worldwide...

sometimes pretty clumsy... rolleyes English is only my second lingo! Please take this into account... as a German I would often say "can you" instead of "could you please"... not engaging much in popularity contests and definitely not too much into Social Games and Chat. Idle talk is really something I consider not worth the precious air.

You? ...... Enjoyed summertime?

I'm in need an extension, so I went to Cambodia and am now swooshing through Bangkok on the way to Goa... Building a nest for myself.. it's more than ten years without a steady home. Only temporary solutions (between three and eight months). And just recently I recognised access to the "Shady Pines of HoP" (SL) - makes me worried... umm

oh well, I've been listening to discussions about ladygardens for a fews months now, so I've had enough of all the garden talk for now.

Apart from that; I guess I joined you in the effort of re-inventing oneself. Been working too much, no summer, no holidays, not good. And I gave up on the "bad guys" and tried to concentrate on the "nice guys" instead, but that's not much better either. Also just weird stories. So I painted my fingernails black, but that doesn't seem to be the solution either. Maybe your idea of getting a monkey will help. Don't know. Keep me posted if the monkey-thing improves anything.

Your post would appear funny if it wouldn't have happened to you... what are "ladygardens" anyways? I would like a garden full of ladies... or my garden to be full of them... then again, if thinking twice umm help

Dough - hey actually I'm half/half bad and good guy, trust me Gemini's can be like that... wink Working too much means you own your own money... and as you work too much, you have no time to spend it... making you an independent woman... *wiggles eyebrows* there must be more guys around you than you could wave a stick at.

Don't listen to weird (negative) stories, beautiful - time is too precious for timewasters sucking on your energy. Take some time off and simply forget of the opposite gender. After all we're only one letter apart (xx to xy)...

Come to Goa this season and relax with the rest of us... *more wiggling* sunny

apart from that: owning money would be nice. Unfortunately my salary ain't that high shrug Better a low salary than no salary at all

Coming to Goa would be lovely. A friend of mne just told me that he's gonna work somewhere in Thailand next fall. Man, I'd love to go. At the moment my plans are only: working and then hiding from Xmas somewhere in Morocco. I guess that should be far enough for Santa to lose track of me.

I can hear what you are saying, flying to and living in Goa might be cheaper than you expect it to be. If you're a fluent English speaker, you might also find work as a teacher on your holiday in Thailand... but there are always enough excuses to stay within the Matrix shrug just wait until one of them cries to get breastfed thrice a night... wink

If you're working loads for little salary, you're at least having an honourable job and that alone should make you feel good about your suffering, errm yourself. You're sweet, even if you have to cut your pictures in half to hide your ex-companion... wink There is no right and wrong, there' only consequences...

Himalayas, just 200k's off Rishikesh, direction Gangotri (towards river Ganga source)... ubbangel Glad you like it - it was one of THE most magic situations I had in my life. Indians can be sooo devoted. My friend (she got really nervous by the crowd gazing at us) and I were leaving the site, feeling like Shiva and Shakti, our feet barely touching the ground. Some even wanted my Pooja (blessing)... Guess what would happen if a really good spinner turns up...

Hey another one from the archives... no way you could call us "professionals" - we've been simply a mesmerizing family. The festival had 40.000 visitors and we had been responsible for all performance, starting at 4pm the previous evening when the gates opened, finishing 4am the next morning...

Long after the performance has been finished we were dancing without costumes or make up, I can't recall anyone spinning at all - still people were standing around us, taking pictures.

It has been my greatest and most challenging gig.

Thanks to anyone comforting me these days, I am still breathing blood out of my nose and got saved from Thai prison by beautiful Thai friends. My upper lip is still swollen - as is my hand - but my prayers got considered and the frenchie who got me into the fight, survived it. Otherwise I might have ended up in the cell for ... too long. A few hours have been enough.

Will provide you with an update as soon as I wake up tomorrow morning and packed my stuff for the departure to Goa tomorrow night.

Love to you all and please hear my call to not get intoxicated beyond your limits in Thailand.

So here comes the "coverage":

I am with friends at Kao Sarn Center the other (last) night in Bangkok and we had a few beers, playing pool. I play this one frenchman and he's a pretty good player. One of my friends takes off on a tournament for "serious" money (for a Thai anyway) and comes back having won. I was very very happy for him and we had more beers.

Then I notice some fighting on the alley right next to us and I think: "Oh no, not again." Walk out and whaddaya know, it's the frenchman getting the pi55 taken out of him by some of the Thai girls. Well I walk up and prevent him from getting more beating, guide him to the (main) Kao Sarn road and tell him to leave as he was pretty drunk and would have gotten himself into serious trouble if he would have stayed around.

Well, he was all upset on one side and "not at home" on the other. Looking into his eyes I could see that he was not aware of his actions.

So I keep him from entering the Kao Sarn centre, which he was not permitted by the manager anyway. The guy states a lot of crap about him in the Caribbean and (the way) "black people (are) fighting" and himself not wanting to fight. So I say "well if you want to stay out of trouble, go home" but he's not listening and persists that he wants to go inside and play pool (which would not have been healthy for him).

Cut a long story short, as I am keeping him from going inside he starts to fight me. For a sucker his size he had a pretty good swing and hit me right on the mouth and nose, before my response sends him on the pavement.

Thai cheering and all the bystanders starting to care for him, lying unconscious on the ground - the cop who was standing next to us all the way arrests me and takes me to the police station where I hand them my ID card and get taken to a cell. Not without the Thai girls who he got into the initial fight with, coming along and talking to the police about what happened.

However sitting in the cell I prayed that he'd be allright. After one hour some more Thai girls came along with a Londoner, bringing me water, sweet and the news that the frenchie is well, sitting downstairs.

Relieved I wait another half hour and get taken downstairs, where the girls, the Londoner, two more of my Thai friends and the frenchman are sitting. The cops explain to me that we'd have to pay 400 Baht each and him to declare that he wouldn't want to press charges against me, to get the case settled.

He has no money on him so I'm saying that I'd cover all and by this time his parents arrive at the station (who unfortunately speak no English) and after getting some idea of what this is about want to cover for us both.

The frenchman is sitting next to me, remembers nothing and as I explain the story to him, apologises a hundred times.

After this the cops let me stroll off, with anybody telling me that I did the right thing and that I kept him from a more grievous experience (apart from getting involved into the story in the first place) and me feeling kind of stupid to be in the first fight after eleven years...

And today waking up with a still swollen lip, a hurting hand and a buzz in my head doesn't make me feel much smarter. Just thought I'd share this with you...

First of all I notice that you have a dazzling new avatar that just compliments your sweet personality smile

Second I seem to victimize myself once in a while. This has not been an accident, but a fight and tell you what... me saying that my last fight has been eleven years ago, shows that I am getting old and just ... well.. only a few pages and two years back I had a fight in Bali. Similar story: I get involved in some other peoples business and take it on.

Call it martyr, call it stupid. A good friend once told me that to her I sometimes appear like a knight on a white horse, sacrificing myself and especially my health for others... which is altruistic.

Maybe I'm just looking for a chance to show that after all I'm having a spark of goodness inside of me - knowing all the miserable thoughts that run around in my mind.

The situation had been absurd. The frenchie and me, sitting in Thai police station, him apologetic for hitting me and thankful for me knocking him out. I mean - for *** sake he could have gotten into deep [censored], fighting Thai girls and Thai people on Kao Sarn road. I liked him, he has a good heart, a good pool player and was just drinking too much...

shrug

Nice story. I'd love to read that in a book. Are you already writing abook (based) on your travel adventures? If not, you might want to consider starting to do so. And if you want to read a nice book that might fit in with your experiences, you might want to try "a house for Mr. Biswas" (I really like that one).

I can't say anything about amount of miserable thoughts and of goodness inside of you, but I can say tha'you;ve definitely got your charming moments and there can never be enough knights on white horses.

What I think is most compelling is that you don't connect the story of your present injuries with the one of yout bike accident or your back problems. What's the difference?

ubblol oh you sweet lot! Get outta here... help footinmouth wink

So now I know who to *blame* for tonights incident.... rolleyes I parked my bike in a (very convenient but) shady spot where I have never parked before. Stayed longer than sunset, because - you know like this and that, meeting ppl, playing chess with a communicative pommie, teaching a staff move to a sweet Russian. So I am returning to my bike and it's pitch dark.

No moon in the sky. And if "pitch black" would not be enough, I am crossing this overgrown ally... ALL OF A SUDDEN this thug with his BIG machete jumps out!... Well would have been a great story, but no... less spectacular: I can't see gutters and reach out with my left arm, not to run into something and step forward with my left foot, only to figure that there is nothing to step on... eek I am falling into a dweeling of maybe 1.90m... (and I only know so well, because trying to get out of the ditch I had to hold on to that tree beyond head level...) If I would NOT have reached out before, I would not be typing this right now.

rolleyes Sure the lesson would be: take a torch...

So Aurinko, thanks for mentioning that. The bruises on my leg, ellbow and in my armpit do actually have a connection to my punched face and stitched ankle wink

There is one thing that you don't know about me, but I'm going to tell you: I am my own father and my own son... Sounds funny? (funny-strange, not funny-haha) I have to realize and render a few experiences in this lifetime... I never had a dad - neither my biological dad, my 9 yr elder brother, nor the long year boyfriend of my mum have been taking that part in my life. But rather than sitting and complaining I have to be pragmatic. I'm forced to and I tell you one more thing:

I'm one lucky son of the world. I am considering me to be one of THE most lucky ppl I know and hopefully I am going to be one of the most wonderful old fools that you will come across... I just realized that. And this is such a blissful experience, I can't put it in words. peace

After 6 years of suffering I am re-discovering "the easiness of being", I am re-gaining that "lightfootedness" (not light-headed) that I have lost in the relationship with my daughters mother. To put it in other words: I am finally maturing to be a kid again.

The difference between my past and my current injuries is... well, you have to reread the sentence and you'll figure. wink This is only flesh and bones - they heal. If my immortal soul would get broken, that would be the end of me.

*gaining length once more* rolleyes

If one has never really experienced what it means to "sacrifice" then one has never truely loved... or as the mum of my daughter once said (in spanish): a life half lived is a life not lived at all. (vivir en medio est(??)... forgot the wording...)

I could go on with the lessons that I drew from these experiences (not that I have truly got them, but...) I don't want to waste too much more of your time. I just don't consider myself being that important and try to fill the gap when it's my call. Especially India is a good teacher in that.

To finish this (painful) chapter: If I would *really* have been a nice guy on Kao Sarn road, I would have taken the punch and walked off. Everytime I reckon to be close, I am lightyears away from being a Jesus-incarnate... I just get what I deserve. Driving to the hospital this evening I just remembered the details of those situations and it's just crystal clear... I love (to be a)life and I will share more moments of beauty really soon (can't believe the ammount of words I put into this post)
