Hello

Thought id better finally drop in and say hello being a new poister myself, sorry its taken me so long redface. Im back at uni and have plenty of time on my hands to start teaching myself properly (along with my trusty michal kahn book). Only been going for a couple of months but its taking me a while.

Anyway, usual stuff, im sam, sammy or samantha if you have too!! I study music in bath (2nd year) and loving it! started poi as a different hobby from music as its all i do and by the fact that i got a pair for my b'day.

I learnt figure 8, 2 beat weave and butterfly pretty quick, then got a summer job and didnt have much time. Now at uni and catchin up on all the spinning i missed.

Thats all the basics

See ya for now jugglex x x

Helloo! wave I'm just stepping in to tell you that you're actually ok saying poister..... However, you would get a lot of odd looks if you pronounced yourself to be a poier over here in Holland - pooier (same pronounciation) indeed meaning pimp over here biggrin

Just remember if you do have Gayle as your supervisor she takes no messing. ubblol

My first fire spin is down to Gayle just handing me lit poi and telling me to get on with it! biggrin

I have to tell you that I ubblove Gayle to bits. You couldn't have a better supervisor to be there on your first burn.

I have some fire poi you can use. They're only dinky so should be fine.

Next week should be cool as we move at the end of the week after.

Hi there... and a belated welcome!

How did your first burn go?

Come to Cambridge Community Circus if you're around in the holidays and looking for things to do. In summer we're usually on Parker's Piece on Sundays if we're not at poi meets around the country!
