Hi,

I've been asked to introduce myself so here we go and sorry I didn't do it earlier. Originally from Belgium, living in the UK for over three years, I learned spinning in New Zealand and did my first firespin in South Africa. Best spinning experience was @ Burning Man 2002 amongst 500 others (hence the pic). I've met a lot of Hoppers recently and had much fun @ the Brizzle JC.

Hang in there honey. If you want any info on induction at St Michaels pm me. Oh, and if a waterbirth is really important to you, you can refuse to be induced- nobody told me that last time. Apparently they have to offer you induction, but if you say no they will give you more check ups instead.

As for it being comfy in there Jo- I dunno, I still have 6 weeks to go and my babe has pretty much run out of space! Imagine not being able to stretch out for weeks on end....it must be horrible!

I know you can refuse the induction but the risks of stilbirth go up then. I just don't want to take any unnessecary risks. I had a miscarriage three years ago so me wanting a waterbirth only comes second really.

*Breaking news* (Literally)
My waters broke last night! Just waiting for contractions to start, hopefully before tomorrow otherwise they'll induce me anyway!

So, I'm not gonna make it to Ashton Court after all but I don't care anymore.

Nothing, nothing, nothing! Really thought things were starting yesterday but then it all stopped again and I felt fine all evening and slept well at night. So, I was supposed to go into hospital this morning to be induced but when I rang them, they said the delivery ward is full and if I was allright with waiting till tomorrow. Fine with me. So...here we are, still pregnant, 12 days overdue. Going to Ashton Court Festival! Yeay...

Anne, do you want me to go in there and pull the blighter out?!!

This reminds me of trying to wake my brother up when he has to go to work, his alarm's going off, people are shouting at him to get up, but he's still fast asleep "i'm not getting out of bed".

What helps is if i go in and just pull my brother out from under the blankets.

So I think you just need to do the same, say you're fed up of waiting for them to come out and if they dont come out now then you're going in!!
