Hello there,
My name is Eric Vaughn. I sign my artwork and surf the internet with the handle "mrsoap". I'm an 19-year-old American living in Brisbane, Australia, the skin cancer capital of the world. Although I was born in America, I have keener recollections of living in Australia, so I consider it to be my real home.
I have adult attention deficit disorder, so I have had difficulties completing my secondary education. Medication has proven to worsen my problems, so I am learning to deal with my issues without their help. I've dropped out of high school after repeating grades several times. At the moment, I am very close to finally finishing high school.
On the bright side, I'm still a hyperactive child at heart, so I have plenty of energy for twirling! I picked up single staff late in 2003 and have twirled practically every day since then. It is a great outlet for my frustration and untapped energy reserves. I occasionally do doubles. My friends say my twirling style is erratic and extremely fast; my greatest weakness when I twirl is that I expend all of my energy very quickly and get pooped out after only two or three twirls! I am trying to follow a healthy diet so this does not happen anymore!
I've been playing djembe for a little while too. I'm not very good at it, but I try my best. I love jamming at Moonfest.
I twirl at every Moonfest I can get to, Monday night juggling sessions at the Southbank piazza and random parties I get invited to. Other twirlers I know in Brisbane are Liam, Gabe and April (Phaerie, who introduced me to this site!)
I would like to start making recordings of my fire twirling soon. I will upload them to this site when I have some.

Welcome to HoP Eric. ADD runs through my family, so even though I don't have it myself, I know somewhat of what you are going through. It's going to be a long hard road but you are showing that your fortitude just by getting through high school. The rest will come with time ... Good luck to you and have fun at HoP.

It doesn't seem difficult at all for me, personally, but other people sometimes feel uncomfortable being around me because my behaviour is very sparatic and sometimes difficult for others to understand.
