hiya, im 16, male, from hastings. i been spinning poi for about a month. here's a lil list of the tricks i can do(if i can think of the names):
2 beat weave (does that count as a trick? lol)
3 beat weave
2 beat reverse weave
3 beat everse weave
almost the 5 beat weave
butterfly
overhead butterfly
1 handed butterfly
1 handed overhead butterfly
windmill (in both directions)
corkscrew
mexican wave (i think its called)
windmill on its side in front of me (dunno what its called)
there are a few more things i can do. but i dunno if there actually tricks, or just me spinnin hopelessly lol.
n im very close to gettin a few tricks done.
oh, n ive been to the meet at alexandra park n its very good. the people there are great, aimee got me to sign up to this site lol, n she's gonna try to teach me the 5 beat weave on sunday in the park. erm, ed was tryin to teach evry1 the flower in the park but that wasnt workin to well to b honest, good trick tho. laurel was also teachin people/ tryin lol. aimee tought me the 3 beat weave:P well neways, il c evry1 in alexandra park by the main gates on sunday at 4:00 pm again.

I taught you the 3 beat weave actually
And this sunday its from 12, as we have lovely visitors
It was nice to meet you on Sunday, new spinners in hastings are the new cool.
This sunday we also get to work on **transitions**. Hurrah!
i.e moving from one move to the next with out having to stop and start again
But we can still have a crack at 5 beat if you wish

there very expensive, but they look soo kwl:P n the name: monkey fist just sounds evil or somin lol. i dunno what my problem is, i get some poi, n think bigger, so i get bigger poi n think bigger n so on..... but these 1's should b big enuf for me lol. plus there's also the fact that il be broke for a while if i do get em lol. but neways, what do u all think? oh n il c u *aimee* in the park again on sunday:P
