Erm... hi. Complete and unashamed n00b here. I started poi a week or so ago and love it. As you can probably tell from the thread name I live in St Andrews. Plenty of beaches and, I guess plenty of chances to practise (if/when I get good enough). I'm studying at the university so if there is anyone else there who wants to meet up when term starts...

Its one of those things that is just fantasic.
More info on me... I'm 19 year old boy with long red hair (a little dangerous I know). I also play guitar for a band called OneFinalStep and also build websites in my spare time. I'm a heavy coffee drinker (read about 15 cups a day). If I were to take over the universe I'd probably make procrastination an olympic sport coz then I'd win hands down. I'm the fountain of all unPC and offensive jokes and can think up the worst pickup lines ever at the drop of a hat. My favourite food is sushi and I love carrots. My toothbrush is black with red bristles (I saw it in a goth shop in London and had to have one) I'm a massive prog rock fan and also love HIM, Nightwish and the usual bands that every slightly loopy pyromaniac metalhead guy loves.
My favourite spinning songs are is Tunnel Vision by John Petrucci and Raspberry Jam Delta-V by Joe Satriani.
I have been fire breathing for about a year but took up poi coz it looks so cool and I love fire!!!!! I'm the guy who starts the bonfires on the beach within about thirty seconds of arriving and refuses to leave till I have no more wood and the thing has completely gone out... Hence why I'm having to take first year at uni again... Too much time with guitars and fire... sounds like a Rammstein gig!
So basically I'm mad... bonkers... nutsy and everything in between
And just as a random thing; I am a synesthete... I see colours and shapes when I listen to anything and everything... without the aid of mind expanding drugs.
