hey, im Lianne hows everyone doing?
im away up living near the capital of the highlands in scotland, i got my staff for christmas after pleading with my folks for ages to get one. my portugese friend introduced me to it while he practised it (unlit..) in college, and a couple of friends took their staffs down to the beach, we had a big fire, watched the sun set, watched it rise and played with fire..
i loved it so much and found out a couple other people i knew had poi as well, i just had to get a staff..im slowly learning contact stuff after a short session up in lewis after speaking to a couple of guys who were spinning and had put on a great show, it was a load of info at once, but i think i remembered quite a bit! if youre reading this guys thanks again, i couldnt remember your username so make yourself known like!
also into music, heavily. i like a wide range, mostly alternative i guess, everything from punk to funk to stoner rock to psy-trance to dark metal, theres a band for every occasion and more! i sing and write songs as well, my aim is to find a band into as wide a range as i am and take different styles and mesh them altogether, take everything i like about it and put it in with something totally different and find a way to join the two. also play guitar and bass, and i love messing about with percussion, my little brother has a djembe

It'll probably be tickets (voluntary). The brewery usually gets their own bar staff I think. But yes. they want us to spin. Although we may have to still buy our own tickets...

I've got a seminar on the Friday afternoon and a wedding on the Saturday... And I won't be able to get back in time to look after Harry if I go to Play..
I'm quite cross at my parents now.

They've been back together for ages now... they seem quite happy. Erm, they won't look after Harry. Stuart's as unreliable as ever (plus he still hates the dog), and Leighanne's got herself a wee job at the garden centre cafe. Plus Harry doesn't like Breanna, so it wouldn't be feasible.
I'm still trying to find a way round it, but I've got 3 weddings to go to this year as well as another 3 conferences, so I've got no spare cash anyway. Damn PhD...plus that fraggle never has any money, and I most certainly can't afford to pay for both of us to do stuff.Erm, I'm fine, just been plugging away. Was fraggle-napped last week, so went down the road and had some fun in the sun.
Other than that, just been paying back the student loans.

you don't know my mum very well...Nope, it's got to be a member of the family, the dog's never stayed anywhere but our house, he's a self-harmer if left somewhere he doesn't know. Strange, I know, but he frets and bites at his own skin, pulls out his coat etc. Vet's instructions are not to leave him with strangers/in strange places/on his own for more than a couple of hours. If it wasn't for that, then I'd get him put in a kennel or have a friend take care of him (I've had loads of offers so far!) for the day or 2 it'd take to get back from Play. Believe me, I've been trying every avenue to get there, but in vain.
I'm not particularly fussed any more though. I've got loads of work that needs done, and I'm going to Skye for a couple of days for a post-grad conference with UHI. Which should be fun. the campus there is in the middle of nowhere (so possibly lots of spinny time, and I need to start looking for people from other UHI institutes to recruit into a circus skills/spinning club thingy - so far I've got me and Daz, but we're both based in Inverness), and it looks beautiful.
Eastern Haze sounds like fun though. Who you planning on going with? I've been doing loads of embroidery/beadwork recently, mostly celtic stuff.
Been keeping me out of trouble. Found any spinners down Perth way yet?Missing you loads! Hope Rossco's looking after you properly!

lol he's looking after me more properly than i can myself....i feel quite bad about it....erm...involving my wandering shennanigans in newburgh.....not so good...
but im ovwer it...i think ive found the solution....realising the reasons for the shennanigans in the first place!eastern haze looks wicked check it out, easternhaze.com...im going with rossco and meeting up with ravehead there... ive been making beads yay! got fly agaric mushroom dread beads and rainbow ones and big eyes....any other suggestions?

tell me about it! When I went down to stay with Cantus for a week, he fretted loads and started ripping out his fur/turning on people... *sigh* generally it's easier if either mum, dad or me are at home, so I usually just cave. I was going to see if Jen might come through for a couple of days so I could head down, I'll just have to keep trying to think of a way of persuading her! 
I like the wiggly-type beads that are on my necklace - maybe some big wiggly-type tubes for dreads? And maybe some smaller ones for necklaces and such? Erm - pendanty type things too?

wiggly type? aaah yes....but how to make them into tubular ones?
