Hi, I'm brand spanking new to HOP, never even new it existed until I stumbled upon it recently. Only just starting to get my sea legs as far as the technology thing goes. Just typed poi into a search engine and BAM, Here I am. And right glad I am too. Been spinning for years on and off, started in South Africa and the enthusiasm kinda waned once I got to the UK and refused to leave the warmth of indoors for months. Years later I am regaining my passion and learnig to accept that 26 degrees celcius is warm.
Think Hop is amazing, looking forward to learning and living and loving and growing.

I'm hoping we skip our big finale at firegathering it's not quite complete yet and with 4 of us on and off switching props etc I think we should leave it. Plus they ain't paying enough
I just can't wait for the opening act

Our little peice of street theatre is the saturday night probably between 10 and 11 so it's dark enough to use the glow suits. speaking of which I hope mine still works Haven't used it for about 8 months...
A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.

Saturday is good

I'm off about 6 the sunday evening as I have to work monday
Me chazz and simon will now be leaving here about 1ish on friday
I've told Neon dave to E-mail Firetoys Direct now he's decided to try and come, hope the job's still open it was 10 days ago.Yup summer's started, first full show of the year tomorrow

Yup, I've just got Dave booked on the megabus to get to Brighton on the friday so he'll be coming to firegathering
I have to leave at 6 on the Sunday too as I have to work, and thats the bus time I booked
Looks like I'll probably be camping with some Brighton peeps now though. Ben wants to camp near people he knows, kindof fair really since I've dragged him along to come play with MY friends

Miss you Blue! I am SO annoyed I cannot make Firegathering, but *&%$%£ exams occur this coming week so I cannot miss them. I hope life is well for you and stuff and we can meet up soon and have a great time like we always do!

If your friends are gonna be there first tell them to hoist a flag or small person up some kind of telescopic flagpole so I know who they are... or I could just ask eveyone if they are from brighton and know lois

OK Ime and simon have to change our Finalé start before saturday
After our first fire run through we have found our showy, poncey start involves both of us catching fire, good for the crowd but not so good for us

yeah car's fine, have named her Christine
steven king knew how to name a car. Rear brake had just popped a pin and the brake drum was locked on. still did 10 miles ok although the wheel was so hot you couldn't put skin close to it.And our comedy glow show had the crowd rolling in the isles
to be fair they WERE in wheel-chairs and couldn't do much else but I'm sure they were laughing could have been fits trying to get away but who knows....I'm going to hell aren't I?

probably, but at least you wont be lonely there. Just came back from such a beautiful weekend at firegathering, really don't want to be back in the real world, and missing my boy terriby after spending another gorgeous weekend with him. Another good thing to come from the weekend is that Ben and I have entered into talks about him moving down to Brighton and in with me for 6 months or so and then in April, both of us moving to London. I am absolutely thrilled about this by the way, as I was very tempted to just drop everything in Brighton and move to London now because I miss him so much.
So despite the post festival depression and emotional comedowny lack of sleep feeling, I'm really REALLY happy.

damn right! we did that just for you, there were so many people I couldn't make out individual faces.
I'll convince the guys to put on our opening act at Southern Lights if we can make time because it seems it's as fun to watch aas it is to do.

I know the feeling 2 weeks until my next day off (the first in a month

I got a new job!
And Ben got two new jobs working on the next series of the IT crowd and My family, so he's really pleased, and Ben will be moving to Brighton and in with me before September this year, for a trial to see how commuting works. We will review in April weather we stay in Broghton or move to London.
The only thing is, as I now have a new job, not sure weather i can take my holiday or not,and theres a possibility of some work on some Saturdays which means that there is a possibility I may not make Southern Lights this year, but will let you know ASAP Mynci
