Ok i have lived in Townsville for a month and do not have a clue where to spinn
. So if there are any tville people out there i could sure use help in knowing where i can spinn fire.thanks guys seeya

Hey there TFS - the meet others forum will be better place to look than in Social Chat. I will move it for you.
Also, if you could pretty please edit the title of your post to include the country, it would be much appreciated. I'd say it's safe to bet at least 3 quarters of people here have no idea where Townsville is.

I've just been to Townsville! Just came back tonight. omigod, how could you even think of spinning there.. soooooooooo humid!!!!!!! Maybe there's some nice airconditioned park somewhere!
Seriously, I would guess if you go down to the Strand..maybe put a sign out in the local paper and get something started.... and at the backpackers.. for travellers....????

Yeah, do as much spinning as you can in the winter time chaps!
Maybe some notices at the Uni might be a good thing: you two agree to meet regularly somewhere handy for the backpackers hostels and start a JuggleJam? Lots of travellers spin and that could build something local...
Offer Ribbon Poi lessons at the Army base?

cairns....thats where im visiting first in october...all the way from cold and windy scotland!! not sure ill be able to handle the heat like! id be up for a spin when i get over definitely...

Townsville is in australia for the 3/4 who do not know
Every wednesday we all meet outside the uni library and spend a couple of hours twirling, juggling, drumming... from about 5 if anyone is interested.
I moved here about 6 years ago and have watched the t'ville fire scene develope from nothing to quite a significant (for the size of the population) twirling place... they are out there... don't give up
Hope to see you next wednesday or send me a pm and i can give you more details.

Hey I grew up in Townsville, it's great, even went to the uni for a while!
Its fantastic that there is a group going there now, there was nothing when I was there. I will be sure to drop in and say hello when I next come by.

Fire Dancing Circle
Friday Nights from 8:30pm at Soroptomist Park, Rowes Bay
Weather permitting
There's poi, staff and drummers there, so go along, bring your friends and have a great night ^_^
Also, does anyone know about any of the Cairns twirling groups? I had a search around and I found out about FireByTheSea, but that appears to be more of a performance thing.

Neser i know this is really late but i think the cairns twirlers meet on friday nights on the esplanade (or whatever is the equivalent in cairns. I don't think they have an organised leader to contact. Good luck
