So here I am again. It's been a while hasn't it. My alto sax initially got a lot of use. Funny isn't it, how a fulltime job takes away all your spare time. Haven't had any time to poi too, apart from Jugglejam on Mondays and the monthly Moonfests. And even then, it somehow seems I tend to play with the stockwhip instead of poi shrug

Another lens has been added to the stable too. A Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5.. nice and wiide. But it all boils back down to that time issue. Despite having the new lens, I seem to find I'm out taking less pictures.. the folio hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm stagnating. Must. Get out of this rut.

If you're my muse and reading this, inspiration needed now. hug

-Edited 14 Dec 2005-

I liken this to opening the fridge to find that jar of misc what's it, several months expired ubblol. Hey how's it going? wave

So what's new! Well.. poi's getting a bit better for one thing. Nice how after poi-ing for a while, you stop hitting yourself senseless. In fact, one might argue how after a certain point, each hit puts more sense into you.. wink Haven't gone skating or rockclimbing in a bit, but that's ok- life's full of wonderful distractions, and really, you can only do a couple at a time.

University's just wrapped up! Yep. A degree in art & visual culture, television & digital media.. Just waiting for a piece of paper at the moment (yay!). And trying to sort out how Australia will let me live here forever and ever biggrin. Have I mentioned how wonderful it is, you so ought to visit *nudge* wink Also been getting out the with photography and stuff- a couple of projects to follow up on, blue skies and puffy clouds as far as I can see.

Updates updates. [insert geek] I've updated my camera gear too.. my 20D, 17-85 4-5.6 IS and 580EX now have a 70-200 2.8L IS to play with.. soon too, riding on getting a particular gig, either a 350D and a 24-105 f4 IS, or another 20D.. -grin- [/end geek]

[edit 14/12/05: Gig didn't go through, and ended up performing at it instead of shooting it ubblol Life has a funny way of messing you about doesn't it.. so no 2nd body for me just yet, or nice 24-105 f4 IS redface]

Been taking lots of photos lately. I think there's something intrinsically beautiful in capturing moments- you know how you look at a photo and it brings you back to where you were that day, who you were with, how the air smelt even.. Maybe one day I'll get to exhibit ubblove.. but yeah.. lots of work to be done meantime.

Hmmmm.. yes the world's beautiful today. It's good to have new toys, new moves, new direction.. old friends hug.. a best friend hug2, and enough distractions not to get bored for too long.

Btw.. favourite words haven't changed.. ubbrollsmile And mm.. I'm still not too close to balletic, and dulcet..

Hmm.. la la la laaa squawk.. footinmouth

[edit 14/12/05: I now have a beautiful alto saxophone- the best use of which I have thus far found, is to attract ducks and other misc waterfowl]

Yep, how about we say still aspiring. biggrin

Hope all's well with everyone- don't be strangers now! hug biggrin

I've been exploring this site a bit lately, and have decided everyone seems like a nice bunch- thought it's about time I said hello. Ryan, 24, born in Singapore, but Brisbane Australia has been home to me for the past 3 years.

I love photography, playing the guitar (if one took a picture of me with my guitar, it looks like I'm playing it- does that count?), getting from point A to B on my trusty mountain bike, inline skating and hockey, occasionally rockclimbing, and just being in good company. I'd also like to add poiing to the list when I stop hitting myself senseless.

Irrelevantly, my two favourite words (I've got heaps if anyone's interested) are 'balletic' and 'dulcet'. 'Balletic', unfortunately, isn't a word I'd use to describe anything I can do, and 'dulcet' is a word I haven't dreamt of aspiring towards yet.

Enough for now, don't be strangers! biggrin

In unrelated news, Ry's hurt his jaw poi-ing! Butterfly waistwraps and turns can be dangerous and should come with a warning. ubblol

wavehello Hmmn, just realizing we are on this amazing big ball thing, turning around, spinning together but half a world apart.hehe As part of us all rises, another falls, and so it goes. Cycles. Timing. Planes. Hmmn.

Summer begins here, and I taste the salt on my skin, spent the morning lying in the brilliant fresh green grass... Watched one of my cats meet her first deer, a little spotted fawn that was eager to be friends, and sidled up to nibble the grass beside her. They briefly touched noses , exchanging a kiss, and the deersprung away into the woods...heart My cat looked very confused!

Ry, just dropped in to see if there was any cake, wink and offer up some words . Not new words, but play with old ones... two favorites to consider:

alone- all one

nowhere- now here

meditate

Enough for now, but hugs to all you fun people, and I'll send you some sunshinesunny !grouphug

Andrea: Now here.. *contemplate* ubbrollsmile Another one for you- shoal.. Not as exotic as muumuu (Lou wink) but it just plays with your palate. And is a lot easier to put in a sentence too biggrin

Gnorc: ubblol Perhaps.. but it has to be rolling down a hill, in front of heaps of spectators. And it must know how to do housework too. And perhaps throw in some of Lexie's flapjacks for good measure.. mmmm biggrin

Lou: You sell it so well, don't you just! wink But say I did not-be-a-responsible-sorta-fella, up and leave here for weekend of playing with socks... Could it be a butternut pumpkin?

froggie: Pumpkins and self-flagellation.. if ever before someone told me that would be my personal intro to the world.. I'd have said..

Absolutely!
