fish empathy story for ry: i can't remember the context, but there were these fish in a tank, and there was one that couldn't really swim very well, i think he may have been malformed or something, and another fish 'big red' would swim underneath him and lift him up to the top of the tank evey day at feeding time, so that the little one wouldn't miss out...awwwww

I didnt make it to Cicerellos so couldnt confirm the seadragon status. We did see dolphins in the river on the way in and did have chips but it was tipping down so we went to the museum and seen someone with nothing at all on him. Not even skin it would seem.
Then I went to Little creatures Brewery. mmmmm nice beer

i forgot to put a beer in the fridge earlier, so no beer for me tonight. I'll have to remember for tomorrow night smile

@ Ry - no, i dont think it can. I'm just happy that i can have a flash and an extended exposure. It's the middle range sony cybershot (p73), so i don't expect too much from it smile Plus, i can pretty much just point and shoot with flash @ start.

Ah.. I know someone with that camera- though it might be the p93. Think they're pretty similar. Pretty decent alright- at least your camera does video too! Mine's great in the sense that you can fiddle with the most obscure settings (takes a decent shot once in a while too)- but would be nice to have something which could record some poiing too..

the p93 is pretty much identical, but it takes 5mp pics, instead of 4.1. And i wasn't going to pay another hundred bucks for one megapixel, especially seeing as i dont use over 1mp much.

In fact, pretty much all my pics are taken at 1mp, then scaled down and stuff to go on the internet anyway. so a 4mp picture would be pointless.

i need a better video editor than WMM2. i can't seem to adjust actual framerate, without jacking up the display size as well.

mm That makes sense. I usually shoot 70% of my shots at 4.3mp, and 30% at 8.19mp. I find that 4.3's usually more than enough. If you're not making A4 sized prints, or cropping shots, usually 2 mp is plenty.

I get paranoid about shooting too small though. I worry I might accidentally take an incredible shot and not have the resolution to enlarge it ubblol

Not too sure what video editor to recommend, at uni we get to use Avid Express, but that's hardware dependent. How about Premiere?

my pc screen is a 17 inch, running at 1280*1024. a 1.2mp or whatever it is that this camera takes fills that screen pretty well (1280*960), which is all i need it to do.

Plus, i get 660 pics at 1mp, 270 @ 3, 220 @ the weird 3*2 size, and 220 @ 4mp. The benefits of 1mp far outweigh the clarity increase with anything higher. And i can double the size of the 1mp shot and still have everything pretty clear. definitely not magazine quality, but you can still see whats going on.

My vote is that 1 megapixel is plenty smile

i use 5mp for all my pics, i like having the fact that i can enlarge a picture 4 times and still have it look good enough to print and edit without noticing. Use Premiere Pro, its pretty cool program, lots of features and addons available.

cuttlefish are cool and change colour type thing. Photos will be up soon, yay!

mm.. It's great having the option to print it really big if you need to. The compromise though, would be the extra space and/or write time the image would take up on the memory card etc.

Can't wait for the cuttlefish pics! bounce

i have a 256mb card and can hold approx 170 images. So there is no real worry about about running out of space on the memory card. Or my hard drive, 450gig of hard drive space, yes i am a computer nerd :P
I like being able to edit my pictures, so thats why i have the best quality, it gives you more data to use incase you want to edit, more ability to hide the edit.
