So i bought 10 ft of the 3/8ths inch kevlar rope, not actually THINKING about the dimension but rather "Oh it's the smallest dimension they have ok" I thought i could build a few torches with them, but the design for the knotting (no metal pices except the center) would make the wick too big with this size... So i can't use it the way i had thought, but than again sending 10 ft of kevlar back over half the world seems pointless when i could probably make something else...
So what fire toys can you make with 10ft of 3/8ths inch kevlar rope?
also i have some kevlar bullet proof vests, one of them is falling apart a little bit, i was wondering if that was a different mixture than wicking or if i could cut it up and turn that into some stuff....

dont forget you can easily make a whip w\that much...
and the vests probably have diff. materials in them rather than 100% kevlar

how does one make a whip out of the thick rope? I mean i have a 12plait bullwhip, but i assume fire whips are made differently than....
that which yeilds is not always weak.

use rope for entry/exit manouvres
bullet proff vest protects against armed coppers.
(sorry not very good at this)
A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.

Put the rope in a pile atop the vest. Construct a shrine around it and claim it is your god.

get a 30 - 40 cm long piece of aluminium tube with an inner diameter same as the outer diameter of the rope, thread rope through, tie big knot in one end, tape it to the handle. Instant fire whip.
have a look at the fireninja's website.
be very very careful. I have one that is just under 6ft, but I haven't been game enough to light it yet, not sure that I ever will.

Hi there, Dunc,
I just bought 9 feet of 1" thick kevlar rope. You seem to know about fire rope so can you tell me...what do I do with it? I bought it to cut up into two fire ropes and use them like poi, but there doesn't seem to be that many poi moves you can do with fire rope... or is there? Do you know where I could see some video of someone using fire rope recently? Thank you!
