What's the point of not taking the exam if you've done the coursework?

*puts pigeon in the loose bit of gaffa tape where i was*

because my school says that you should decide after you've done the coursework cause if you choose before hand and then dont like a suject you can change your mind throughout the year, and not be stuck with a subject you used to liek but don't now, but everyone i know who's been through the school said that their mind didn't change throughout the year and that it was just a waste when they could've been spending more time on the subjects you're taking. just my school and the headmaster being a pompous bufoon, like he's trying to ban fizzy drinks, mp3 players, trying to add an extra hour to the school day, which means some people will either have to get up at about 5 am to get to school or be getting home at about 8 pm and the school now has a policy that they ask for your permission to look to see if there is any porn on mobile phones, and if you refuse then you get a 2 hour saturday morning detention there and then. the introduced the week before end of term, that saturday they had to use 3 of the bigger rooms for saturday morning as opposed to the normal small ish room they usually use

isn't that the same thing?

it's private, and it's all about the name and appearance of the school in public, and frankly, i should've chosen a better school

Public school is the same as private - why did you choose the school then?

because of the damn propaganda and the fact that at my old school it was sorta drilled into our heads that it was the best school of the list of private schools available around manchester, and that it's in the top 3% of england and a load other stuff.
it's a good school but it's too full of tradition and as soon as a teacher gets a job there, and because we're supposadly in the top 3% then they just go all moody, and, with the example of my biology teacher, are like "im one of the 5 people of the examination board for A level, and why am i wasting time at this school with the likes of you"

ARGH mad

Isn't it great that the internet has the websites for OFSTED, exam boards etc that have contact e-mail addresses that a person can use to complain about stuff like that and do it anonymously? wink
