You know, I thought I had - it's not like I've not had an account here for years and years now and loads of you have met me is it? redface

So... I'm James aka spiralx pretty much everywhere online, I'm 27 and have been spinning poi for about 3 and a bit years now I reckon. Was taught the 2 beat weave by Dom way back in the day smile Sort of got stuck after that due to a lack of anyone to teach me stuff and didn't pick it up again until I finally got shown how to do the reverse 3 beat weave after 6 months of practically not spinning at all... Nowadays I'd say I'm not too shabby at spinning smile Don't tend to spin fire a lot, too much hassle lugging paraffin around! I can do a little bit of staff and have started juggling recently, although I'm being a bit lazy practising smile

I live in Hackney in London and work in computers in the City - no suit wearing for me though wink Musicwise I'm mainly into techno of most kinds - the harder and wonkier the better, but also most other dance music that isn't cheesy trance. I also listen to black metal, hip-hop and well, anything that isn't pants. My favourite films are the Shawshank Redemption and Pleasantville and I tend to read books voraciously, mainly fantasy, sci-fi and popular science, but I can be persuaded to read anything if it's good.

That's all from me folks! biggrin

hello spiralx

We don't speak much because you are one of the knowledgable people from the tech section. That section just confuddles me so I avoid it mostly. Gidg thinks its a BOY thing..... me, I just think its because I can't spin ubblol

Does your cat have a melon motorbike to go with its melon helmet?

No my cat doesn't have a motorbike to go with his helmet... but that would indeed be cool!

The technical section confuses everybody I think... some of us just don't know when to shut up though! ubblol

Hi Gidg!

It's not a boy thing, it's a geek thing. However... boys are more likely to be geeks than girls. There's something about the whole obsessive-compulsive devotion that girls don't seem to get often ubblol
