Last night I saw one of the greatest yet one of the most unnoticed musicians of our time last night. Keller Williams is his name. It was my first time seeing him but have listened to him for a while. I had very high expectations and I must say he shattered my expectations. He plays solo on stage with 10 different guitars, a keyboard, and many various percussion instruments. He has devised a system to loop tracks live using a switchboard he presses with his toes. He plays one riff on say bass then records it and loops it so it's continuly playing. Then he'll pick up say a triangle or another guitar and incorporate that into the dub until he just solo's and sings on top of that. Even his guitars are amazing. He has a custom ten string acoustic bass, ten string acoustics, regular acoustics, a 6 string banjo, and many other instruments. Not only is he amazingly profecient on all of these he also dances around and moves with the music. He just did so many things that blew your mind it took you a few second to figure out how he was doing something or where that trumpet sound was coming from. I can't even begin to describe the experience. And its such great music to spin to since alot of it is made to dance to. I didn't get to spin last night though while I was there just because I was right in front of the stage and didn't want to leave. I was entranced. If you want to be completely amazed check this guy out. He plays shows all the time and is constantly touring since he lives in his tour bus. He doesn't play for the money he plays for pure enjoyment and it shows. His recored music is great but if you really want to be impressed go see him live if he ever comes near you. Has anyone on this site seen him perform before? Or listen to him?

I've never heard this guys music but i orderd one of his albums 2 days ago. Its only because i've been getting in to my willy mason recently and i heard that willy has been his warm up/support act. The review said that they were both awsome so thought i'd check this keller out. And after what i've just read on here can wait to listen to what this guy has got to offer.

Was willy mason supporting keller when you saw him Rovo? If so what did you think?

no he wasn't supported by anyone. I'll have to check out this willy mason guy now. Honestly though if your not too impressed with his music and you ever have a chance to see him live definatly do it no matter what kind of music you like. I think the closest hes getting to you will be in the netherlands some time early next year. Which cd of his did you order? oh and if you want some free samples he has like 8 songs on his site and they are all a bit different. check them out. smile peace

I've seen and spun to Keller Williams several times at Nelson's Ledges in Ohio. One of the best shows I've ever been to.
