I was wondering what moves feel the best for all of you to do. It seems with me some moves just feel "right". For me that move is the quadruple corkscrew with turns. I love turning it to the right 180 degrees and twisting my body with the poi then letting it complete the bottom rotation then turning to the left 360 degrees. It just feels so awesome to do that combo. There is also this w/w combo I do that just flows so nicley but I couldn't describe it technically so I'm not even gonna try.

Spinning with my arms out straight round and round and round and round and round until I fall over.

I played it with Dunkywunkywoo and Rosscoboscco at glastonbury.

i like the way isolations make me feel - smooth and clunky both at the same time.

other than that, i like the feel of that that clubswingy/doublestaff type move but done with poi - its a buzzsaw bf then turn 90deg into wallplane and do one circle at the hip, the other at the shoulder turn another 90deg (so you're facing in the opposite direction to the start) and buzzsaw bf on that side.
rinse/repeat.

I'm a big-time newbie (both to this board and to poi -- hi y'all!), but I just wanted to chime in and say that I just learned the 5 beat weave today and it feels incredible! It's the best feeling I've had so far in my brief life with poi. Now I have a glimmer of what y'all mean by "flow." This stuff is magic.

Now to try to learn reverse 5 beat without first getting a concussion...

one word, stalls.......i love stalls, when done right they look ssooo smooth, plus you can change from any direction to any other direction.......

You can't avoid pain by fencing yourself from it.
Some times you need the help of others more than anything else
But you have to let them close enough to help......
People want to be needed, I found that out too

Personally I'd have to say the simple ol' reverse 3bt... it just feels nice, I don't know why! But weave turns in general are good

I really like to 3 weave forwards on my left and do 4 on my right and then turn 180 left with my arms all crossed out still then I unwind in to a 7 weave in reverse. Because the poi stay on my right hand side of my body for like 12 revolutions. If you can do the seven weave in reverse both sides and then turn into a 5 with your arms crossed out the poi chase eachother in one spot for ever. so fun. OR Do a three weave on your right hand side and instead of changing to your left ahnd side you chase the sun and the timing works right into a thread the needle. 3 weave - chase sun- Thread needle with only one revolution of each trick. bladow.

dont make peoples heads turn, give them whiplash.

Im a reborn newb who has just about got a messy 5 beat weave down, but my best feeling move is a constantly rotating 3 beat weave, 3btw-180-bw 3btw-180-3btw, I also love spinning them as fast as I can split time above my head (horizontal) and then into some sort of corkscrew....feels great if you come out of it contious (sp.)!! ubbloco
