Hey there everyone,

Well, now that I'm close to post number 300 I thought I'd do an intro thread... it seems like I'll be hanging around for a while now biggrin

Edit:

Yep, this is all changed cos I'm not feeling as sentimental as I was when I wrote the last intro.

I'm 28, live outside Belfast in Northern Ireland, run the fire performance group FirePoise (www.firepoise.com), like to travel and good music.

My myspace page is www.myspace.com/clarepalmer

Take care

Cool site, nicely presented! I think the code needs to be fixed a bit though as the main text on each page kept appearing too low. Also i note 'photos and videos'. Can we be expecting a promo video soon then? biggrin

also, the money making plans are making me do this> ubblol

I know.

Yeah, it needs to be fixed, but we had a big article in a local daily paper today (the Irish News) so we needed something up... work is ongoing.

Thanks biggrin

So a simple request to people who come and visit clare in here. Can they go to www.hyperloop.co.uk and see if the link to www.firepoise.com works.

yeah Clare well done on the website.

Just one request though, since we are no longer working together I would apreciate it if you either asked my permission to use images of me on your site or just didn't do it in the first place. As far as I'm concerned I do not work with or for you any more and you are well briefed on the reasons why, so I should not see myself being used for your advertising purposes.

Could you please remove the image I'm refering too. I apreciate the fact that you mentioned me in your thanks but that does negate the fact that you have used images of me without my knowledge or permission.

thanks Diana

You were working as part of FirePoise at the time, and you're only in half a picture?!

But fair enough, I'll let Rob know as soon as I can.

Anyways, after the conversation we had at New year I thought all was cool... sorry to hear that.

We didn't have a conversation about you using images of me for your own gain, and yes i was working with you on a company which was an equal partnership, when it dissoved as far as I'm concerned that company ceased to exist... you might have kept the same name clare but the essence of it is entirely different from the one we were working on togther, unless of course you never saw it as an equal partnership in the first place?

Still fail to see how you asking me how I was means that in some way I gave you permission to use photos of me, put it this way would you be happy for me to use a photo of you dancing in a costume you made, a concept you initialised and selling it as my own product, I think not.

Nothing has changes re the conversation we had on New years eve, but I would appreciate the civil decency of being asked before seing myself being advertised for something I'm not invloved in.

Hope that makes it clearer.

Erm.

You know I saw it as an equal partnership. frown

And dancing with flags under UV light isn't exactly a 'concept you initialised'. smile

However, I don't really think a HoP forum is the place for this - you could reply to my text?

I asked you on new year if you wanted to work with us again and you said 'you have my number'... I didn't know what else to take from that.

I'm sorry you still have problems with us not working together, but you know yourself, you had other things to do. Wish it had been different.

Take care

Children of lir was the concept.. I'm hardly going to claim ownership of dancing with flags under Uv light. Any way you look at it that was a bespoke performance for the parks and cemeteries services and you can't deny that it was designed specifically for that event and I did slave over a sewing machine for days (and nights) making those costumes, you can't deny that it's a bit rich just to stick it up on your own website without acknowlegdment at the least.

I have no recollection of you asking me if I wanted to work you again, and faili to see the relevance if you did.

I'd appreciate it if you would remove the picture.

In response to your last comment, I have no problems with the fact that we're not working together infact I'm more than happy not to have to divide my time between my own priorities and your demands on my energies.

Thanks

Diana, I'm shocked that you would launch such a petty verbal assault against Clare, not only in her personal thread, but also on a public forum such as HoP. If you felt so strongly about this, what's the problem with a 20p phone call??

Clare has worked extremely hard over the last number of months trying to pull this together, and has reiterated throughout that this is about "community", something that we're still hoping to maintain.

As for the photo, or should I say "white blurred image" of yourself, which has since been removed from the site, excuse me if I'm wrong, but legal ownership & permission to use said photo lies with the photographer, no?

designed specifically for that event and I did slave over a sewing machine for days (and nights) making those costumes

Sorry Diana, but I hardly think a simple white dress made from a shop-bought ready-made pattern, which could be thrown together by any mediocre seamstress in a couple of hours constitutes "design"

You're making yourself sound jealous, petty & vindictive & I'm going to suggest that the mods delete those posts, as this is not the place for such issues

There's no need for this, and we're all well capable of sorting out any wee issues.

Pic is off the site... no harm done.

It saddens me to see people washing their dirty knickers in public. I hope all this gets sorted out fast and to everyones satisfaction. Life's too short to spend it fighting.

I hope all is well at your new home. You'll have to PM me your address so I can post you and Lisa a house warming present.
