Hello wave

Name: Molly (or Caro in a different world)

Age: 24, but it's my silver jubilee soon smile

Location: Lovely Edinburgh, oh it says that over there... But born and bred a Londoner.

Occupation: PhD student (entymology and bacteriology - ie. mash flies and see what's going on in their bellies. mmmm.) Oh, and part-time Queen.

Toys: BLUEBELL the most gorgeous blue blue tech ubblove Tulip my beautiful contact stick, poi and a sadly neglected devilstick. I think it had angel sticks with it somewhere (firey handsticks as well as a firey devilstick) but haven't played with them for so long.... and of course, young molly mole, who aspires to great juggling prowess, but is hampered by the shortness of her paws and the complete absence of the ability to hold anything with just one paw. She is the little furry blur that is my avatar, in her christmas incarnation as the mole of war.

Hobbies: Beltane Fire Society, the slack hippy calendar of my life. Dancing, most especially swing. contact girl is the way forward, if only I could get round the friction burns. Gardening, herbs and vegetables mostly. There's only so much you can do with a daffodil. Sewing stuff, costumery especially. Camping, brewing, jam and CAKE ubblove

Favourite colour (before anyone asks... you know who you are):

blue but yes pink is fine and dandy, it even tried to take over my world for a week in August when my little niece was born smile

um, that'll do I think...

oh one more thing,

I had the immense pleasure of meeting quite a few HoP-folk round and about this summer and if they are anything to go by, you are all beautiful lovely people hug

what a fabby place ubblove

now, tea and cake all round and cushions aplenty

I think a threat of covering Molly in honey and staking her out next to an ant hill would work better biggrin

Maybe that's just because I'm in a bit of an agressive mood today. The tranquil pebble and sea view is starting to calm me though.

On the question of which one to get for the apartment I think this one

We just need to find some magnetic buildings or even just stuff on our adventures this summer.

Tent poles are aluminium though, aren't they? boo.

Oh and if the kind robots are going to be along in a moment, could you check their spelling and grammar for me please? Or maybe just see that they have thumbs smile

Skully - you're a big meany, why the ants? tongue I never hurt th.... oh wait. Yes, ok.

I've got quite enough tat to furnish several houses without giving myself a lifelong search for green tissues. You could - at a push - have the tissues coming out of the eyes of my yellow elephant though smile

I'm still in Edinbrrrrr and still writing this mad thesis which is a very frustrating and lonely business.

But on a happy note, I had an uber evening on Saturday dancing to African drumming, Beasties and ODS so that I couldn't stand up yesterday biggrin

OK, I've been browsing through photos of Burningman just for kicks but now I've decided that it's best NOT to look and just be surprised by it all.

So don't look.

Cuz I'm already corrupted by years of photos being shoved in my face.

OK, fine, just look at this one from a few years ago.

In case we need more drama in our life I found this...

We can use it to make seemingly boring conversations fraught with tension. Like:

"No Molly, it's YOUR unwashed teacup. If you wanted to pretend it was mine you shouldn't have been sloppy and left your Earl Grey teabag in it..."

I don't think we need more drama though... that's what our hippies are for. wink

And Beltane was just great, though I'm still getting over the disappointment of missing half of the fire show while trying to extinguish a...

FIREBLANKET!!!

NOT a good idea to swap paraffin for kerosene... torchies kept dribbling firey stuff on people's hair and setting it on fire frown But hey, I managed to set the firearch on fire without casualties, so that has to count for something ubblol

Not too sure about the dragon, I was quite busy trying to get the guy with the fire extinguisher over to the burning blanket ubblol it was quite funny really!

Samantha (the dragon lady) was always quite good in practice, so I think she's done well. The crowd liked her, too. But we got someone to film her, so she'll be on the video smile

I only wonder if the person she's named after has found out yet... apparently they have a similar temper ubblol

someone got a good pic of me (in focus and everything) at RMP... though I have no idea how based on the angle it'd be one of the redmen or a VERY good zoom !
