After seeing some amazing poi'ists at glastonbury this year, I realised its about time I got myself a pair so here I am!
I'd hope eventually to move on to fire-poi (I'm quite dedicated and hopefully a fast learner). Is it a good idea to buy a set of fire poi and just not light them until I feel able enough to do so, or should I stick with some fabric ones for the time being?

I lit up for the first time last night and it was really fun. I singed my hair twice though and I'll practice lots more before I light up again.
I was getting about 3 minutes for each light up, this being on pure paraffin. Is that about right?

Hope you have a crazee time with Lady Pink tomorrow. Are you gonna let her convince you to come to Falmouth next weekend?

And if not, then damn it, why not?

Nah, bollocks mate. Yes it's in Cornwall. There are about 80 million people coming down, one of them surely can give you a lift. Look [Old link]

Pink's coming on the train. You could pretend to be her suitcase?

Not often enough for you to think about missing this one. This is the 2nd we've done. The first was two months ago. But summer is gonna end soon...

It sounds amazing. I'm tempted. Things have been crap ever since I got back from glasto. I'd have to sort out a few things. I'm home alone for a couple of weeks and have got a cat to feed, and barely any money. I'll speak to pink tomorrow and find out how much the train costs. Thanks for the info.

It'll be 9 quid each way on the megabus to exeter and 28.50 for the coach from exeter to falmouth, so 46.50 overall plus train fares to get to london victoria. I just can't afford it this time round. ubbcrying
